On a more personal life, Tulisa was in a relationship with South London based DJ/rapper/singer, Justin Edwards also known as MC Ultra, for about 18 months beginning in 2008. A sex tape of Tulisa and her ex Justin Edwards leaked on the internet in March 2012. In July, she settled a legal action against Edwards, who apologized for releasing the tape.
