Heiress Nicky

"I think maybe it's because there are a lot of wealthy heiresses running around, doing their thing, but people are shocked that we actually work for a living. I mean, Paris has built an empire - fragrances, modeling, TV. She has an office." Nicky Hilton

Bottle blond (now dark brown) hair, blue-eyed model and actress Nicky Hilton was widely recognized as one of the heiresses to the Hilton hotel-chain. Paris Hilton's younger sister, Nicky, was noticed for designing a handbag line, the Tokyo-based Samantha Thavasa.

Nicky Hilton, who stands at 5' 7" inches tall, recently appeared as cartoon super heroines with sister Paris in an April 2005 issue of men's magazine Playboy. On a more personal front, Nicky has been dating actor Kevin Connelly since September of 2004. She also has dated actors Mark Vanderloo (b. April 24, 1968), Marcus Schenkenberg (b. August 4, 1968) and host of MTV's TRL Brian McFayden (b. 1976). Nicky was once married to businessman Todd Andrew Meister, but the marriage was annulled after three months.

Recently launching her new clothing line Chick, Nicky was rumored to have had a feud with sister Paris. There is a speculation that Paris insisted using her name for all joint business venture products with Nicky. A source mentioned, "It's not a matter of pettiness or sibling rivalry. It's being a smart businesswoman. Her attitude is, basically, it's me who the public are interested in. She feels the products should be called Heiress Paris."

Fashionable Girl

Childhood and Family:

Nicholai Olivia Hilton was born on October 5th, 1983, and is the second daughter of hotel tycoon Richard Hilton (b. 1955) and former actress Kathy Richards (b. April 7, 1959). Nicky has three siblings, older sister Paris Whitney Hilton (actress, model; b. February 17, 1981) and two younger brothers, Barron Nicholas Hilton and Conrad Hughes Hilton. Great-granddaughter of the famous Hilton hotels chain founder Conrad Hilton and Mary Barron, Nicky and her sister Paris share the hundred-million-dollars inheritance and live a glitzy lifestyle. Her paternal grandparents are Barron Hilton and Marilyn Hawley. Her granduncles are Conrad "Nicky" Hilton, Jr. (Elizabeth Taylor's first husband and Patricia McClintock's second husband) and Eric Hilton, and her grandaunt is Francesca Hilton (Zsa Zsa Gabor's daughter). She is also the niece of actresses Kyle Richards (b. January 11, 1969) and Kim Richards (b. September 19, 1964).

Nicky briefly attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. On August 15, 2004, 21-year-old Nicky wed 33-year-old Todd Andrew Meister at the Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. Older sister Paris Hilton and actress Bijou Phillips attended the surprise ceremony. Three months later on November 9, 2004, the marriage was annulled. The former couple's representatives announced, "Both parties have ended the marriage amicably and they remain good friends."

"I interned at Hamptons magazine. I was 12. I walked around with a pad and was like, 'What do you guys want for lunch?' to all the people who worked there." Nicky Hilton

Growing up in a flashy lifestyle with her hotel heiress status, Nicky Hilton began to receive notice while working as a model and being linked to several prestigious Hollywood names. Afterwards, Nicky and her sister Paris appeared more often in public, often in high-status clubs and restaurants and caught the attention of media columnist.

Nicky managed to be showcased in such magazines as FHM, Vanity Fair and Vogue with photo-shoots and interviews. The attention helped bring in more modeling work and linked her to designer Anand Jon.

"A lot of celebrities don't really care. I went to school for this. I always wanted to be a designer. I started with handbags when I was 17." Nicky Hilton

After briefly studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Nicky landed a job designing handbags for Tokyo-based Samantha Thavasa. The products became favorites and were sold in more than a hundred fashion stores in Japan. They also won over celebrity fans such as Britney Spears, Tara Reid and Pamela Anderson.

Instead of costarring with sister Paris in the hit TV series Simple Life, Nicky appeared as a guest in several shows like It's Good to Be, Celebrities Uncensored and Fashion in Focus. Once splashing across the screen in Mike Marvin's fantasy film Wishman (1991), Nicky is scheduled to work in William Heins' upcoming comedy film, Pledge This! (a.k.a. National Lampoon's Pledge This!), alongside Amanda Aday and Geoffrey Arend.

"I wanted to have high fashion without the high prices. I wanted (the clothes) to be accessible." Nicky Hilton

More recent, Nicky launched her own clothing line titled Chick, named after her childhood nickname. The brand consists of jeans, mini skirts, hooded sweatshirts and tank tops adorned with rhinestones, airbrushing and metallic accents. In order to create affordable fashion, her products are sold in the range of $27 to $119, and hits target ages 12 to 40. In the future, 21-year-old Nicky is planning to design shoes, accessories and cosmetics.

"My fashion philosophy is that if I like it, I wear it. I'm not a snob about which looks are 'this season' and which are 'last season.'" Nicky Hilton
