Victoria's Secret Angel

Australian model Miranda Kerr is famous as one of the Victoria's Secret Angels. Signing with the lingerie brand in 2007, she becomes the first Australian to appear in the Victoria's Secret campaign and appeared in their 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012 televised runway shows. She also represented Australian fashion chain David Jones. Kerr has launched her own brand of organic skincare products, Kora Organics, and released a self-help book, “Treasure Yourself.”

Met in 2007, Kerr married English actor Orlando Bloom on  July 22, 2010. She gave birth to their first child, Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom, on January 6, 2011. Prior to the marriage, she was linked to finance broker Adrian Camilleri and singer Jay Lyon. In October 2013, Kerr and Bloom stated that they had separated several months earlier, and meant to end their marriage.

Childhood and Family:

Daughter of Therese and John Kerr, Miranda May Kerr, nicknamed Randa, was born on April 20, 1983, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She grew up in the small town of Gunnedah, along with her younger brother, Matthew, and used to ride horses and race motorbikes in her grandmother's farm. She also was a gymnast when she was younger. Her family later moved to Brisbane to provide  Randa and her sibling with city life experience. Miranda graduated from All Hallows' School in 2000. She studied nutrition and health psychology in college.

On July 22, 2010, Miranda married Orlando Bloom in a private ceremony. At the time, she was four month pregnant with their first child. Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom was born on January 6, 2011.

“For me, family is life. The decision to start one wasn't complex at all. My career has been wonderful, but it's not my life. I don't feel pressure to get back to work.” Miranda Kerr (on having her first child)

Kora Organics

When she was 13, Miranda Kerr participated at the 1997 annual Dolly Magazine/Impulse Model Competition and won. A week before her 14th birthday, she flew to Sydney to shoot for the magazine. Kerr signed with Chic Management's Sydney division, and went on to gain respectable commercial exposure in Australia, thanks to a string of beachwear ads for the surf chain Billabong. Among surf brands she modeled for were Tigerlily, Roxy, Billabong Girls, and One Teaspoon. These ads boost her profile in both Australia and Asia. Kerr then moved to New York to further pursue her modeling career.

Kerr scored a number of runway works in New York before signed to NEXT Model Management in early 2004. Since then, she modeled for runway and print campaigns for leading labels, such as Levi's, Alex Perry, Baby Phat, Nicola Finetti, Lisa Ho, Voodoo Dolls, Bettina Liano, Anna Molinari, L.A.M.B., Heatherette, Betsey Johnson, Trelise Cooper, Jets, John Richmond, Neiman Marcus, Seafolly Swimwear,  Rock and Republic,  Blumarine Swimwear, Roberto Cavalli, and Ober Jeans. Besides, she also appeared in many magazines, including Elle, Australian Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, and was featured in television advertisements for brands like Portmans, Bonds, and Veet.

Kerr's first big success in the United States arrived when she was signed a lucrative contract with Maybelline New York in 2006. The campaign ran in a number of internationally popular women's beauty magazines, including Cosmopolitan, CLEO, and Elle, and was later featured in Victoria's Secret catalogues. The same year, she became the face of PINK

Kerr enjoyed even bigger victory when she landed a contract with Victoria's Secret in 2007, replacing Gisele Bündchen. She went on to become the first ever Australian Victoria's Secret Angel, joining the steady of models already signed to the lingerie giant, including Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Karolína Kurková, Selita Ebanks, Izabel Goulart, and Heidi Klum. As an angel, she appeared in the Victoria's Secret 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 televised runway shows, which aired on four continents. She also made a guest appearance in “How I Met Your Mother” (2007), with other Angels.

In 2007, Kerr was named the face of Californian fashion retailer Arden B, and appeared in their Spring and Summer ad campaigns and also Fall campaign. She also became the new face of Clinique Happy and inked a six-figure deal to be the new face of Australian department store David Jones, replacing model Megan Gale. Kerr began to appear in the spring/summer ad campaign for XOXO in 2009. In July 2009, she posed nude on the cover of Rolling Stone Australia. Later that same year, in October, Kerr launched her own brand organic skincare products, Kora Organics, with George Moskos. She also was the face of Kora Organic Skincare.

In August 2010, Kerr released an inspirational self-esteem, self-help book, “Treasure Yourself,” which is aimed at female teenagers. She walked the runway for Balenciag's spring 2010 show, for Prada's Fall 2010 collection in Milan with fellow Angels Doutzen Kroes and Alessandra Ambrosio, and for Christian Dior, Lanvin, Chanel, John Galliano, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf and Loewe at the Paris Fashion Week SS12 in October 2011. She was selected to wear  the $2.5 million Victoria's Secret Fantasy Treasure Bra for their fashion show in November 2011. Kerr was named ambassador for Qantas in January 2012. She then signed a contract to represent Samantha Thavasa in June 2012 and was named the new face of high street brand Mango in November 2012, replacing Kate Moss for its spring/summer 2013 campaign.

In early 2013, Kerr parted ways with David Jones following a five year partnership. In April 2013, it was reported that her lucrative three year contract with Victoria's Secret was not being renewed. Amidst reports about her difficult reputation, and scheduling conflicts, Victoria's Secret chief marketing officer Ed Razek declared he had already invited Kerr to walk in that year's fashion show.

In October 2013, Kerr was named the face of Austrian crystal house Swarovski for their fall 2013 campaign.
