Holly Willoughby is an English television presenter and model. She has hosted a series of TV shows including “Dancing on Ice” (2006-2011), “Celebrity Juice” (2008-?), “This Morning” (2009-?),  “Text Santa” and “Surprise Surprise” (2012-?). She received a nomination for the National Television Award in the category of Most Popular Entertainment Presenter in 2010.

Currently, Willoughby resides in London, UK. She is married to Daniel Baldwin and is the mother of two. She is best friends with “Celebrity Juice” co-host Fearne Cotton and is patron of charity Together For Short Lives.


Childhood and Family:

Holly Marie Willoughby was born on February 10, 1981, in Brighton, East Sussex, England, to an air stewardess and  the manager of a double-glazing company. She has an older sister named Kelly, who is also involved in the television industry. Holly is a dyslexic. She attended the independent Burgess Hill School for Girls in Burgess Hill, West Sussex and then The College of Richard Collyer in Horsham. She began modeling as a teenager.

On August 4, 2007, Holly married Daniel Baldwin, a producer on “Ministry of Mayhem,” whom she met while she worked on the show. She gave birth to her first child, son Harry James Baldwin, was born on May 11, 2009. Her daughter Belle Baldwin was born on April 12, 2011, a month prematurely after two days in labor.

Celebrity Juice


Holly Willoughby got her first start as a model after being discovered by talent scouts at The Clothes Show Live exhibition in 1995 at the age of 14. She signed with Storm Model Management, and soon appeared in teen publications like “More!,” “Just Seventeen” and “Mizz.” She began modeling underwear at age 17 for clients like Pretty Polly. She also appeared in posters and adverts.

Entering the new millennium, Willoughby landed a part in CITV's “ S Club TV,” featuring S Club 7. In this show actors represented an alternative S Club. She also appeared in a show titled “S Club 7: Artistic Differences,” where she played a character named Zoe opposite the regular members of the band.     

After working as a receptionist and then as a runner for a defunct shopping channel as well as starting an Open University course in psychotherapy,  among other jobs, Willoughby began her career as a television presenter later in 2000 in “Xchange,”a factual entertainment programme for children.  She continued to host several other children's shows for “CBBC: X-perimental” and “CBBC at the Fame Academy” (2002).

Willoughby's career as a children's entertainment gained momentum in 2004 when she reunited with CITV to co-present (with Stephen Mulhern) the Saturday morning game shows “Ministry of Mayhem.” The show was renamed “Holly & Stephen's Saturday” in January 2006 before it ended on  July 1, 2006.

Meanwhile, in 2005, Willoughby hosted the children's entertainment show “Feel the Fear,” where the presenters are set unnerving challenges. She also co-presented the final of the children's version of “Stars in Their Eyes” and replaced Cat Deeley for a while in the spring 2005 on “CD:UK” before Myleene Klass became the regular presenter.

Willoughby's big break arrived in 2006 when she was selected to present the ITV celebrity skating show “Dancing on Ice,” opposite Phillip Schofield. She stayed with the show for six series until her final series in 2011. She was replaced by Christine Bleakley in seventh season, which began in January 2012.

In 2007, Willoughby presented the dating game show “Streetmate”  its final series. The same year, she co-presented “Holly & Fearne Go Dating,” alongside Fearne Cotton.

In 2008, Willoughby and Fearne Cotton began their duty as the regular team captain on the panel game show “Celebrity Juice,” which premiered on ITV 2 on September 24, 2008. She has  starred in all ten series to date.     

In 2009, Willoughby replaced Fern Britton as a presenter on the ITV daytime show “This Morning.” Her first show broadcast live on September 14, 2009. She and Phillip Schofield  currently present the show from Monday to Thursday, with Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes co-hosting on Fridays.

In 2010, Willoughby was nominated for National Television Award in the category of Most Popular Entertainment Presenter. The same year, she portrayed the role of Goody Carne on the made for TV film “Marple: The Pale Horse.”   

Willoughby co-hosted the live charity telethon “Text Santa,” along with Ant & Dec in 2011 and then Phillip Schofield in 2012. The telethon airs on ITV around Christmas time.

In 2012, Willoughby started presenting a revived version of the classic ITV entertainment show “Surprise Surprise.” The show's second season premiered on September 15, 2013.
