Stay The Night

Hayley Williams was discovered by managers Dave Steunebrink and Richard Williams in 2003, when she was 14 years old, and signed to a two year production deal. She was penning pop songs with songwriters in Nashville during this period. Williams next signed with Atlantic Records, but declined the label's original plan to launch her as a solo pop artist. Instead, she wanted to become part of a band and play alternative rock music. In 2004, Williams founded Paramore with guitarist Josh Farro, drummer Zac Farro and bassist Jeremy Davis.

Paramore released their first studio album “All We Know Is Falling” on July 26, 2005 via Fueled by Ramen. The album went to No. 51 on the UK Albums chart and No. 8 on the UK Rock Chart, but failed to chart on the US Billboard 200. It received gold certification in both the UK and Australia.

Williams and her band enjoyed a big break with their second studio album, “Riot!,” which was released on June 12, 2007 in America and on June 25, 2007 in the UK. It peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA on July 11, 2008. The album also gained success in the UK, where it reached No. 14 on the country's Albums chart and achieved platinum certification. “Riot!” spawned three hit singles with the platinum single “Misery Business” and the golds “Crushcrushcrush” and “That's What You Get.” Also in 2007, Williams could be seen in the music video for “Kiss Me” by New Found Glory.

Williams co-wrote (with Josh Farro and Taylor York) the song “Decode,” which was released as a single from the soundtrack to the film “Twilight” (2008). It reached No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 5 on the Billboard Alternative Songs. The song received Platinum certification in the U.S. and  was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2010 for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media. Williams also wrote and recorded teh song “Teenagers,”which was featured in the soundtrack for the feature film”Jennifer's Body” (2009).

With Paramore, Williams released the third studio album “Brand New Eyes” on September 29, 2009. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and reached teh top of teh chart in Australia, The UK, Ireland and New Zealand. Released in 2010, “The Only Exception” which was written by Williams and Josh Farro, emerged as the most successful single from the album, and the most successful Paramore single thus far. It topped the United Kingdom Rock Chart and peaked at No. 13 and No. 17 in New Zealand and Australia respectively. The song was nominated for a Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. “Brand New Eyes” was the last album recorded by Paramore before Josh and Zac Farro left the band. In June 2009, Paramore added Taylor York (rhythm guitar) as an official member, though he had already been playing as a touring member with the band since 2007.

In 2010, Williams appeared on the tracks “Airplanes” and “Airplanes (Part II)” from alternative rapper B.o.B's debut album, “B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray.” “Airplanes” made the top 10 in many countries, including No. 1 in  the United Kingdom and New Zealand.  “Airplanes (Part II)” was nominated for a Grammy in 2001 for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, which she shared with B.o.B. and Eminem.

With York, Williams wrote the song “Monster,” which was released as the second single from the “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” OST on June 14, 2011. It reached No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No.  21 on the UK Singles chart.

On April 5, 2013, Paramore released the self titled fourth studio album to critical acclaim. It marked the first album from the band to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album also reached No. 1 position in the UK, New Zealand, Ireland and Australia. Williams co-wrote (with Taylor York)  “Still Into You,” which was released as the second single from the album on March 14, 2013. The song went on to become one of the band's most commercially successful singles to date in the United States, where it reached No. 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 and received platinum certification.

In March 2013, Williams stated that she was collaborating with MAC Cosmetics for the release of a new makeup collection on April 9, 2013.

Williams was featured on the track “Stay The Night,” which was included on the deluxe edition (2013) of German/Russian electronic dance music producer Zedd's debut studio album, “Clarity” (2012). Released on March 14, 2013, the song reached No. 1 on both Billboard's Hot Dance Club Songs and Dance/Mix Show Airplay charts. It marked Williams' first No. 1 on a Billboard chart (at Dance/Mix Show Airplay) as a solo artist.
