Starting out as a contestant on “Survivor: The Australian Outback” (2001), American television personality and talk show host Elisabeth Hasselbeck gained popularity as the fourth co-host on ABC's “The View,” a gig she held from November 2003 to July 2013. She jointly won the 2009 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show Host. Following her departure from “The View,” she joined “Fox & Friends” in September.

Hasselbeck, who was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2002, wrote a book on the subject called “The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide.” Released in April 2009, the book has appeared on several best seller lists. In 2011, Hasselbeck launched NoGii, her own line of gluten free nutritional products for kids and adults. Her second book, “Deliciously G Free: Food So Flavorful They'll Never Believe It's Gluten-Free,” was released in January 2012. Hasselbeck is a supporter of breast cancer awareness.

Fox & Friends

Elisabeth Hasselbeck began working as a shoe designer for Puma in 1998, while attending Boston College. Her television career  started in 2001 when she was cast in “Survivor: The Australian Outback,” the second season of the United States reality show “Survivor.” She was a member of the Kucha tribe and finished the fourth place. The same year, she became a judge at the Miss Teen USA pageant.

In 2002, Hasselbeck hosted the Style Network show “The Look for Less,” in which she helped find stylish clothes for bargain prices.

However, Hasselbeck did not enjoy a huge break until 2003 when she was recruited as a co-host on the ABC daytime talk show “The View,” following the departure of Lisa Ling at the end of 2002. She normally represented the conservative position on the show. In 2005, Hasselbeck received her first Daytime Emmy nomination in the category of Outstanding Talk Show Host, which she shared with co-hosts like Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Star Jones and Meredith Vieira, and went on to receive the same nomination for the next three years before eventually taking home the award in 2009. Two more Daytime Emmy nominations in the same category (2010, 2011) as well as a 2013 People's Choice nomination for Favorite Daytime TV Host followed before rumors about Hasselbeck's discharge surface in March 8, 2013.

On July 9, 2013, ABC announced that Hasselbeck would be leaving “The View” to join “Fox & Friends.” Her last appearance on the show was on July 10, 2013.

Hasselbeck began her duty on the Fox early-morning opinion talk show on September 16, 2013, replacing weekdays co-host Gretchen Carlson (2006-2013).
