Aussie actress Caitlin Stasey was launched to prominence in the mid-2000s thanks to her portrayal of Rachel Kinski in “Neighbours,” which she played from 2005 to 2009. She was nominated for a British Soap Award for Best New Talent for her work on the show. In 2010, she got her breakthrough film role on “Tomorrow, When the War Began,” where she took home an IF Award for her bravura performance as the lead protagonist Ellie Linton. Stacey is also known for playing Kenna on The CW's “Reign” (2013-?) and for her role on the film “I, Frankenstein” (2014).        


Childhood and Family:

Caitlin Stasey was born on Caitlin Jean Stasey on May 1, 1990, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Her parents, David and Sally, originally come from Norwich, England. She has a younger sister named Victoria. She enrolled at Star of the Sea College in Brington, the same school attended by actress/singer “Neighbours” star Holly Valance. She studied  Film/TV at St. Martins Drama Youth School in Melbourne, Australia. Caitlin toured the world as a member of the Australian Girls Choir when she 10.  



Caitlin Stasey launched her professional acting career in 2003 when she landed the role of Francesca 'Frankie' Thomas,  the unauthorized leader of the club, on the children's TV series “The Sleepover Club.” She reprised the role of Frankie in the show's second series in 2006 in the episode “What Are Friends For?”.

Stacey's big break arrived in 2005 when she was cast as Rachel Kinski, the middle child of Alex Kinski, on the Australian popular soap opera “Neighbours” She made her debut appearance on the show on August 18, 2005 and later left on March 11, 2009 to focus on her studies. For her bright acting, Stacey received a British Soap nomination in 2006 in the category of Best New Talent.

In 2010, Stacey starred as Ellie Linton on “Tomorrow, When the War Began,” the film adaptation of the teen novel of the same name by John Marsden. The role brought her an IF Award in the category of Best Actress.

In 2011, Stacey played the role of Eve on the American short film “J.A.W.”, which was directed and co-written by Nate Parker. Her co-stars in the film included Jesse Williams, Glen Powell, and Carter Jenkins.

In 2013, Stacey portrayed Claire on the Australian comedy/drama series “Please Like Me,” starring and created by Josh Thomas. The same year, she starred as Rachel on the American thriller/horror movie “Evidence,” opposite Stephen Moyer and Torrey DeVitto, and was cast as a cheerleader that must fight against the supernatural on another American horror film called “All Cheerleaders Die,” a remake of the 2001 film of the same name.

Stacey joined Adelaide Kane, Megan Follows, Torrance Coombs and Toby Regbo to star on the American television series “Reign,” which premiered on The CW on October 17, 2013. She plays Kenna, a lady-in-waiting to Mary, Queen of Scots. The CW renewed the series for a second season on February 13, 2014.  

Recently, Stasey played Keziah, a gargoyle who helps to save Adam from the demons, on “I, Frankenstein,” a 2014  Australian-American fantasy/action film written and directed by Stuart Beattie and based on the graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux. The film stars  Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney and Kevin Grevioux. She starred with  Alan Cumming and Melanie Lynskey on the American comedy film “Chu and Blossom” (2014) and portrayed Trinity in Anton King's comedy/romance movie “Lust for Love” (2014), starring Fran Kranz, Dichen Lachman and Beau Garrett.   

Stasey is rumored to star on the upcoming American thriller movie “All I Need” (2014), directed and written by Dylan K. Narang.
