American actress Alessandra Torresani, also credited as Alessandra Toreson, is maybe most famous for playing Zoe Graystone in the science fiction television series “Caprica” (2010). She has appeared in many films, including “Going to the Mat” (2004, TV), “Playback” (2012), “The Moment” (2013) and “Black Rapunzel” (2013).

Alessandra Torresani  was born as Alessandra Olivia Toreson on May 29, 1987, in Palo Alto, California, to parents Marcia Glow and James Sylvester Toreson. At age two, she began studying singing and dancing. She got a Black Belt in Tae-Kwon-Do when she was nine years old.

Alessandra Torresani made her television debut as a host in the WB “Kids' Club” for San Francisco's KBWB (Channel 20). She went on to make guest appearances in television series like “KaBlam!” (1997), “ER” (1998), “Working” (1999), “Popular” (2000), “Even Stevens” (2000), “Malcolm in the Middle” (2001, 2003), “JAG” (2004), “Arrested Development” (2004), “Grounded for Life” (2004), “Love, Inc.” (2005), “The War at Home” (2005), “Bones” (2007), “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” (2008) and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” (2009). She also appeared in many television films such as “My Last Love” (1999), “Newton” (2003), “Going to the Mat” (2004), “Grand Union” (2006) and “Happy Campers” (2008). Torresani had her first feature film role in the 1999 comedy “Lost & Found,” starring David Spade, Sophie Marceau and Ever Carradine. It was followed by roles in “Baby Bedlam” (2000), a family-adventure movie directed and written by Eric Hendershot, and “Mad Song” (2000).   

Torresani starred as Zoe Graystone on the science fiction/drama television series “Caprica,” which ran on Syfy between January 22 and November 30, 2010. Among her co-stars in the series were Eric Stoltz, Esai Morales, Paula Malcomson, Magda Apanowicz, Sasha Roiz, Brian Markinson and Polly Walker.        

In 2011, Torresani played the role of Steph Bogg in two episodes of “American Horror Story” called “Halloween: Part 2” and “Piggy Piggy,” and also played Megan in an episode of “Warehouse” called “Shadows.” She starred opposite Blake Berris and Peter Mackenzie in the TV film “Circling the Drain” (2011) and had a recurring role in the webseries “Husband” from 2011 to 2013. Torresani played the role of Brianna Baker in “Playback” (2012), a  horror film directed and written by Michael A. Nickles, appeared with Shannon Elizabeth, Ed O'Ross and Billy Zane in the biographical movie “A Green Story” (2012), directed and written by Nick Agiashvili, and starred as Daria in the TV film “American Horror House” (2012). She had a supporting role in the psychological thriller film “The Moment” (2013), starring Jennifer Jason Leigh, Martin Henderson, Alia Shawkat and Meat Loaf, and starred in the comedy film “Black Rapunzel” (2013). She also appeared in an episode of “Two and a Half Men” called “Thirty-Eight, Sixty-Two, Thirty-Eight” (2014), playing Kathy, and in an episode of “Workaholics” called “Dorm Daze” (2015), playing Crystal.

Torresani has finishing filming the role of Aleks in the upcoming horror/thriller “Acid Girls,” directed and written by Taylor Cohen. She also will  appear in the films “Outlaw” (2015), which was directed and written by and starring Tyler Shields, and  “Car Dogs” (2015), a comedy/drama starring Patrick J. Adams, Nia Vardalos and Octavia Spencer.
