American actress Zoe Kravitz, daughter of musician Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet, first came to the attention of public playing Charlotte in “No Reservations” (2007), with Catherine Zeta Jones. She has since acted in “The Brave One” (2007, with Jodie Foster), “Assassination of a High School President” (2008, with Mischa Barton), “Birds of America” (2008, with Matthew Perry) and The Greatest” (2009, with Pierce Brosnan and Susan Sarandon). As for her upcoming film projects, she will work with Kiefer Sutherland and Judah Friedlander in “Twelve” (2010) and “Beware the Gonzo” (2010), respectively. Musically, Zoe performs with the Philadelphia band Elevator Fight.

Zoe has appeared in Cree Summer's music video “Savior Self” and Jay-Z's video for the single “I Know.” She also has appeared in magazines such as “French Jalouse,” “Venus Zine” and “Elle.”

Zoe is best friend with Olivia Thirlby. She once dated actor Ben Foster (together in 2008). She is now in a relationship with musician Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT.

Zoe Isabella Kravitz was born on December 1, 1988, in Los Angeles, California, to actress Lisa Bonet (born on November 16, 1967) of “The Cosby Show” fame and musician Lenny Kravitz (born on May 26, 1964). She attended Miami Country Day School in Miami, Florida, and then Rudolf Steiner High School in New York. She also briefly enrolled at the famed SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory.

Zoe Kravitz kicked off her film career in 2007 when she landed an important supporting role of Charlotte on the Scott Hicks-directed comedy “No Reservations.” the film starred Catherine Zeta Jones and Aaron Eckhart. Later that same year, she was cast along side Jodie Foster and Terrence Howard in the action/thriller movie “The Brave One,” which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival on September 6, 2007. The film was directed by Neil Jordan.

The following year saw Zoe portray Valerie in the awesome comedy “Assassination of a High School President,” which starred Mischa Barton and was helmed by Brett Simon. She also played Gillian in the drama/comedy “Birds of America” (2008), for director Craig Lucas and writer Elyse Friedman. Among costars in the film were Matthew Perry, Ben Foster, Ginnifer Goodwin and Lauren Graham.

In 2009, Zoe teamed up with Pierce Brosnan and Susan Sarandon in “The Greatest,” a disappointing remake of the 2001 Italian film “La stanza del figlio.” Directed and written by Shana Feste, it debuted at the Sundance Film Festival on January 17, 2009.

The twenty-something actress will play Gabby in Joel Schumacher's drama, “Twelve” (2010). The cast of the film also includes Chace Crawford, Emma Roberts, Kiefer Sutherland, Charlie Saxton, Ellen Barkin, 50 Cent, Nico Tortorella, and Rory Culkin. Besides, she is set to portray Evie Wallace in “Beware the Gonzo” (2010), a comedy from filmmaker Bryan Goluboff. Costars in the movie are Jesse McCartney, Campbell Scott, Amy Sedaris, Ezra Miller, Judah Friedlander and others.

Zoe also has followed in the footsteps of her father in the music industry. She is the front of the Philadelphia band Elevator Fight. The group embarked on stage at Philadelphia's Roots Picnic in June 2009, along side The Roots, TV On The Radio, and The Black Keys.
