SummaryPeter Falk gets us everytime
Content
The Amazon editorial reviewer does a pretty good job of synopsyzing this movie, so let me not bother.

We really liked this movie, except for a few irritations, but that's just like life. What really made us buy this movie is none-other-than "the legendary" Peter Falk. We just plain like him. We also broke down and got him in seasons 1 & 2 of "Columbo!" Aaahh! But he's so spiffy!

It turned out to be what it promised, "welcome to disorganized crime." Pretty funny; a lot of the F word by the one guy wanting to be 'strapped' all the time (but that was just who he was); and all the characters had genuinely developed roles, albeit small, such as the chauffeur, that actually endeared you to them in a weird sort of way. I honestly liked the way Bobby (Favreau) had a sweet fatherly relationship with his stripper girlfriend's young daughter, telling her (paraphrase) "to watch him cook so she knows how because she doesn't want to waste her money on restaurants where there are big fat sweaty guys who pick their butts and then cook her food, so what does she want to spend her money on!!?" Very, very sweet and real for who these people were.

As for Peter Falk, he's definitely played more likeable characters than this filthy-mouthed, greedy lowish-level mob boss, but we still couldn't help but love him here.

Thankfully it's not a "Casino" or "Goodfellas" mob movie, because those are just too gruesome. "Made" is -- and I'm totally guessing here -- probably closer to what most levels of the mob look like than "Goodfellas."

SummaryNOT swingers part 2, but still good
Content
After reading alot of these reviews I just wanted to clear up a few misconceptions about this movie. First, the entertainment value of MADE has nothing to do with it being a mob movie, or even a spoof of one. The name itself is kind of misused. So if you go into this movie hoping to see a Goodfellas/Casino/Sopranos type of plot, you will be disapointed.

My second point is that the entertainment value of this movie for that matter is created by the chemistry between Favreau and Vaughn. However, it is NOT the same type of chemistry they had in SWINGERS, except in the blackjack scene when they are bickering about how much to bet. Vaugh's character Ricky is extremely annoying at times. If it is uncomfortable for you to watch someone make a completely ass out of themselves, then you probably will not find him funny.

SummaryGood comedy
Content
Made is a good comedy. Vince Vaughn's great, John Favreau is great as always. More laugh out loud funny than swingers but not as witty.

Summary"Made" Review
Content
I don't see why people say "Most wont like it." I thought it was pretty funny. I got this DVD for $5 a Walmart, but I would have paid full price. I think anyone instrested in the Mafia humor should check this out. Anyone in general should check this out, it's not bad at all.

Summaryexcellent movie made on a budget
Content
Please don't assume you're getting another Swingers just because of the Favreau/Vaughn combo. What you are getting is perfect chemistry between two great actors, hilarious ad-libs, dialogue and movement that plays so natural you feel like a peeping tom instead of an audience. This movie has great tension that isn't ruined by the comedic moments, and it bears repeated viewing, because you can only truly appreciate the comedy once the tension is broken. Vince Vaughn will make you cringe as a bumbling would-be mobster. You're sure that he is going to get himself or both men killed with his big mouth. Amazingly, at the end of it all, is a moment between Favreau's character Bobby and the little girl Chloe that brings me to tears every time I see it. Jon Favreau is a brilliant writer and director and the chemistry between him and Vince Vaughn is unbeatable. Buy this movie, watch it, and watch it again. And again.
