Real and Spectacular Background: "Despite the fact that I have a good-size pair of breasts...in Lois & Clark, I have the opportunity to show the world they're not my only attribute." --Us, October 1993 The famed photo of her wrapped only in Superman's red cape became one of the most downloaded images of American Online. Her role of Lois Lane in ABC's Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman landed her smack in the middle of Superman's arms and viewers' hearts. Teri's 9-year love affair with former husband Jon Tenney (Fools Rush In, The Ring, Tombstone) also produced shining results that can be seen in their daughter, Emerson Rose (born November 1997) whom with they share joint custody. Teri is still in demand and it looks like talent and beauty doesn't
fade as far as this attractive actress is concerned. Teri was voted "Most Likely to Become a Solid Gold Dancer" by her graduating class of Fremont High School, where she also was deeply involved in the school's cheerleading team and later became the team's head cheerleader. She studied Mathematics and Engineering at De Anza College in Cupertino, California, and also attended the American Conservatory
Theater in San Francisco, California. Teri's filmography is a long one, but to mention a few highlights and turning points one starts with the character Penny Parker in the series MacGuyver. From ditzy Polly, Teri moved to a Hollywood satirical film called The Big Picture. This was to be Terry's film debut and of all the films Terry has made, she still considers this film to be her favorite. Other films in her earlier entourage include Sylvester Stallone's little sister in Tango and Cash (1989), Soapdish (starring Sally Field and Kevin Kline), and Straight Talk (Dolly Parton and James Woods). But Terri did not become a star until the role Lois Lane in the hit television series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. After the show stopped airing she continued to move on with her career, making guest appearances and the films Dead Girl (1996), 2 Days in the Valley (1996), Heaven's Prisoners (1996) and The Cool Surface (1994). Her next big break came in the way of Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) where she co-starred as Paris Carver, James Bond's love interest (played by Pierce Brosnan), in which Terry was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Saturn Award. And the list goes on and on... Terri's newest role is that of the lead character, Susan Mayer, in the series Desperate Housewives. She plays a single mother hoping and struggling to find love in a suburban neighborhood. Awards:
