Sunday Morning Live

Career:

Susanna Reid got her first start at BBC Radio Bristol before becoming both a reporter and  producer for Radio 5 Live. She went on to become a reporter for BBC News 24 for two years. While pregnant with her first child, she became a stand-in presenter for “23:00” when the original presenter did not come out one night. She eventually landed a permanent post on the show. Following a second maternity break, she became a presenter on the BBC News channel.

Reid's big break arrived when she was hired as a main presenter for the British morning television news programme “BBC Breakfast”. She began presenting Friday to Sunday in 2004, and in 2007, she started to share the duty with Charlie Stayt. In 2012, Reid joined Bill Turnbull on Monday to Wednesday, replacing Sian Williams. Reid has presented from the Academy Awards Ceremony twice in 2009 and 2010.

Meanwhile, in 2010, Reid quit presenting “Breakfast” on Saturdays and Sundays to take a role on a new programme “Sunday Morning Live,” a religious and currents affairs discussion programme aired on BBC One. She presented the first two series of the programme from July 2010 to November 2011.

Reid also became a newsreader on “The Andrew Marr Show” from January 2007 to October 2008. In September 2013, Reid joined the eleventh series of “Strictly Come Dancing” as a contestant. She partnered with  newcomer and ballroom champion, Kevin Clifton. Previously, she paired with Robin Windsor in the “Children in Need” special of the show, where they ended up winning it in November 2011.
