SummaryVery Pleasantly Surprised!
Content
We rented this movie not expecting too much. We like this genre (moron movies). Unlike several eggheads who reviewed this movie, we had no trouble at all following the plot. We just thought this movie was a scream! Lots of idiotic action and the girlfriend from hell. What's not to like? If you like this type of movie, you will love it!

SummaryUnderrated!
Content
The critics said it sucked, but I think it is really funny. The storyline is not impossible to follow. It is very funny, so see it when you can. Once again, Steve Zahn and Jack Black prove what great comedic actors they are. This movie was hilarious from beginning to end. And Neil Diamond to boot. Non stop fun to be had by all. Buy it and watch it over and over again.

SummarySaving Silverman
Content
In "Saving Silverman", Darren (Jason Biggs) with good friends (Steve Zahn and Jack Black) who like to play Neil Dimond cover tunes in his spare time. Then he meets Judith (Amanda Peet) and he falls in love with the beautiful dominatrix. She soon demands that Darren stop hanging out with his friends and become her full time slave. So his friends decide to save him by kidnapping Judith and faking her death so Darren can move on with the real love of his life, Sandy, who is about to become a nun. This movie is extreamly low brow humor, which is what I like, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, I know not everyone is going to like it, with much of it's humor coming from S&M, homophobia, and commitment jokes. But the energy of Jason Biggs and Jack Black is infectious, and Peet is a good sport for being the butt of the joke most of the time. And Neil Dimond is also a hoot, his cameo is really funny.

SummaryA movie worth watching!
Content
Definitely a good movie, Saving Silverman, brings to the screen exactly what the title implies: the story of two buddies who in an effort to hook up their friend (and third member of the group) with a new girlfriend end up introducing him to the wrong girl. Now they must try and undo what they themselves helped set up. Along the way, they get into all sorts of trouble resulting in a great comedy!
Jason Biggs, Jack Black, Amanda Peet and Amanda Detmer (both of whom are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!), and the rest of the cast, have outdone themselves with their performances, which are exceptional to say the least. All the actors, without exceptions, give it their 100% and it really shows (the chemistry is AMAZING)!
On the negative side, the Neil Diamond element, with the singer himself appearing in the film, was a poor choice; not that interesting and not that funny.
Saving Silverman is simple enough, nevertheless, it is without a doubt guaranteed to provide more than just a few laughs.
Strongly recommended for an evening's entertainment along with Road Trip, Old School, the Girl Next Door and of course (!!!) the American Pie trilogy.
