Starring her mother Melanie Griffith as an abused wife who moved to California to become a movie star while her nephew back in Alabama has to cope with a racially-motivated murder involving a crooked sheriff, the comedy/drama performed poorly at the box office.

After her debut appearance, Stella has not appeared in any films or television shows and has primarily kept out of the spotlight throughout her life.
