Background: Stacie Jones Upchurch is probably most known to television reality fans as one of 18 candidates on “The Apprentice 2,” the second season of the Donald Trump show “The Apprentice,” which began on NBC on September 9, 2004. She was fired in week 3 due to her schizophrenic-like behavior. Stacie has appeared in the short film “No Mirror Land” (2001) and the made for television film “The Scorned” (2005). She is a professional model with Elite Model Management and Ford Models and has a Subway sandwich shop in Harlem, New York. Colorado Native Childhood and Family: Stacie Jones Upchurch was born on February 26, 1969 and grew up in Colorado. She received a B.A. from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia and an MBA from Mercer University, Atlanta, Georgia. Model Career: A professional model with Ford Models and Elite Model Management and restaurateur in New York City, Stacie Jones Upchurch joined the second season of “The Apprentice” when she was 35 years old. In the first task, the Colorado born upset many of her teammates by repeatedly referring to a Magic 8-ball while awaiting the result of the task. This eventually led to her termination. Stacie became the third candidate fired from “The Apprentice 2.” Kelly Perdew, a software executive from Carlsbad, California, became the winner of the season, which ran from September 8, 2004 until December 16, 2004. After “The Apprentice,” Stacie appeared in “The Tony Danza Show” and “The L-Bow Room” (both 2004). Credited as Stacie J., she made her acting debut in the horror/thriller film “The Scorned” (2005), playing Trish. The film was directed by Robert Kubilos and written by Rob Cesternino, Eric Mittleman and Scott Zakarin. Co-stars in the film included Jenna Lewis, Steven Hill and Trish Schneider. The making of the film was documented on “Kill Reality,” a reality show that premiered on E! Entertainment Television on July 27, 2005. 2005 also found her appearing on the talk shows “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch” (2 episodes) and “Sharp Talk” (1 episode) as well as on “The 2nd Annual BET Comedy Awards” and “QTN Holiday Reel.” In 2007, Stacie was featured on the video documentary “Paul Mooney: Jesus Is Black - So Was Cleopatra - Know Your History.” Currently, Stacie runs a Subway Sandwich Shop in Harlem, New York.
