 | I saw this movie in theatre's with friends and yes there were alot of funny parts, and alot of it was highly exaggerated, more so over estimating teenagers and taking it a little too far as far as madison's obsessive/psychotic wrong doings, but you cant help but feel bad for ben, who like many guys or all guys made the same mistake of sleeping with someone when you already have a special someone. Fatal Attraction is more believable and was a very strong and important message to cheating men. Why men? Although it sounds like a stereotype ALOT OF GUYS CHEAT or will cheat, and it's not only a mistake, but be careful of all the lunatics who fall in love after one steamy one night stand and then stalk you to the day you file a restraining order against them or they end up hiring a hitman to take you out, or do the job themselves. Either way alot of sickos out there, and be careful who you let crawl into your bed, into your life, into your marriage, because they just may be another homicidal maniac and obviously the wrong person to ever get involved with. But i'm sure the overall message is DON'T CHEAT!! Because you end up not only hurting yourself, but hurting the people you love. But this movie wasn't bad i thought erika christiansen did a great job acting like a mentally disturbed but beautiful on the outside typical movie character, and kinda reminded me of poison ivy with drew barrymore. Nothing origiinal but manages to entertain. |

| Talk about A rehashed Film. They should have called this Film Fatal Attraction II Clorine Paradise. You know how sequils are there is not as good as the original. Most of the eliments were taken from Fatal Attraction. The makers of Fatal Attraction should have sued them for copywrite infringment. They shold make a spoof of this crappy movie you know, they should but jaws in the pool. You know the part in swimfan when he finds is friend dead in the pool, that was the bunny rabit boiling in the pot on the stove in Fatal Attraction. both movies are the same.

Yes, this is 'Fatal Attraction' set in high school. We know. We don't care. It doesn't matter...the movie is still watchable. All the young actors actually do a credible job of pulling this off and the movie is decent. Erika Christensen is creepy as the troubled Madison, and Jesse Bradford is a likeable guy that we can root for. Even though it doesn't tread any new ground, the performances and style of the movie make it worthwhile and entertaining. |

| Most reviwers on amazon are saying that this movie is stupid, but the real truth is that there the ones that are stupid.This movie is worth seeing because it's interesting and can be real too, due to the fact that there are people that are crazy like madison and be as pretty as her too and not look like there crazy
the movie doesn't go overbroad like most love crazy movies. The movie is simple ben has a girlfriend name amy until he cheats on her with another girl name madison and when ben saids to madison it was a only one time thing and she takes it the wrong way.
The movie is not a wow movie but it is worth seeing. |

| I'll give this movie the average 3 stars... simply because it didn't catch my interest. Having actors who I think are just regular stars, no one worth watching or going crazy for. Swimfan however is still worth to check out for a lot of you.
I think this movie pretty much is a copy of other films out of the 90's... such as Poison Ivy(Drew Barrymore), and The Crush(Alicia Silverstone). Titles I think had a better approach and better actresses. A guy cheats on his girlfriend with a girl who's computer screen name is Swimfan... ending in a tale of lies and revenge.
John Polson I do think is a good director... directing the newest thriller/mystery Hide and Seek(Robert De Niro, Dakota Fanning). Of course not a lot of people liked Hide and Seek, so why would they like Swimfan right?
Jesse Bardford as the star actor, has done a lot of nothing for his career list of movies. Having a big part in Bring It ON(Kirsten Dunst)... with little cameos in stuff such as Hackers, Romeo and Juliet. He fits the age and character perfectly in Swimfan, and plays is quite well... I just don't care to watch a movie for him. Erika Christensen who had her biggest hit here. Played the maniacal jealous temptress that succeeds in all of her acting talent. She had small parts in movies like Traffic(Michael Douglas), The Perfect Score(Chris Evans), The Upside Of Anger(Joan Allen)... movies I loved seeing, but not because she was in it.
The little romance that Swimfan has, with the real girlfriend, and temptress is highly believable. The action is understandable but a little boring, other times very boring. There's nothing horrific about this movie, no blood no gore... it just tries to scare you with suspense.
This movie is good, but it's not great. It's worth watching, but probably not buying. Overall... It'll satisfy your night of renting it, something you'll forget about when going to bed. |
