Beginning modeling at the age of 9 and signed with the Elite/Petite agency in New York at the age of 15, Shauna Sand Lamas, the ex-wife of actor Lorenzo Lamas, shot to fame when she became Playboy Playmate of the Month for May 1996.

She has since branched out in acting and played a recurring role on Lorenzo Lamas' hit syndicated show “Renegade.” She also appeared in his action films like "Black Dawn" (1997), "Back to Even" (1998), and "The Circuit 2: The Final Punch" (2002), as well as in his film-based TV series, "Air America" (1998).

Following her divorce with the actor, Shauna guest-starred in such TV shows as "Charmed" and "Las Vegas," as well as appeared in the films "The Deviants" (2004), "Ghost Rock" (2004), and "Succubus: Hell Bent" (2007). She married her second husband, Romain Chavent, on October 4, 2006, but they have filed for divorce.

Childhood and Family:

On September 2, 1971, Shauna Sand was born in San Diego, California. Having studied ballet, jazz, and theatre since age 5, she enrolled in The School of Creative and Performing Arts at age 11 and received a dance scholarship with Ballet West in Aspen, Colorado, by 13.

After some modeling stint in New York, she went to Paris and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Business Administration from The American University of Paris and became fluent in French.

On April 27, 1996, Shauna married “Renegade” star Lorenzo Lamas (born on January 20, 1958) and has three daughters with him: Alexandra Lynne (b. 22 November 1997), Victoria (b. 24 April 1999), and Isabella Lorenza (b. 2 February 2001). They divorced on October 8, 2002, and Shauna went to marry her second husband, Romain Chavent, on October 4, 2006. They have filed for divorce.

During her spare time, Shauna enjoys her hobbies, motorcycle riding (she has her own bike), traveling, cooking and spending time with family and by the ocean. She also likes to play with her bull mastiff, Jezebelle, born in June 1995.

Beginning modeling at the age of 9 after being approached by a local photographer, Shauna Sand Lamas and signed with the Elite/Petite agency in New York at the age of 15. Sporting at 5' 4" and 33D-22-33 measurements, Shauna, who had completed her B.A. in International Business Administration at the American University of Paris at the time, convinced herself to submit photos to Playboy's Los Angeles photo editors. She did a test shoot that Hugh Hefner approved and became the Playmate of the Month for May 1996.

Shauna subsequently appeared in a string of Playboy special editions, including Playboy's Playmate Review Vol. 13 July 1997 (pages 35-42), Playboy's Book of Lingerie Vol. 57 September 1997 (cover), Playboy's Book of Lingerie Vol. 59 January 1998 (pages 50-51), Playboy's Playmates in Bed February 1999 (pages 70-71), Playboy's Barefoot Beauties Vol. 1 December 1999, Playboy's Playmates in Bed November 2003 (pages 86-91), and Playboy's Nude Playmates April 2004 (pages 70-73).

Meanwhile, Shauna ventured to acting and started it with guest appearances on Lorenzo Lamas' 1990s TV show “Renegade.” She went on to marry him and appeared in his action movies like writer/director John De Bello's "Black Dawn" (1997), Rod Hewitt's independent thriller "Back to Even" (1998), and Jalal Merhi's straight-to-video released "The Circuit 2: The Final Punch" (2002; also starring Olivier Gruner), as well as played a recurring role in his short-lived TV series based on the 1990 movie starring Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr., "Air America" (1998). She also co-starred with fellow Playboy bunny Carmen Electra in the B-movie "The Chosen One: Legend of the Raven" (1998) and plays herself in the DVD cast & special features on "Boat Trip" (2002), starring Cuba Gooding J.r. and Horatio Sans.

Following her divorce with Lorenzo Lamas in 2002, Shauna was spotted as a guest in a February 2003 episode of the WB's supernatural drama "Charmed" and in an April 2004 episode of NBC dramatic comedy "Las Vegas," in which she played a stripper.

Shauna returned to the big screen in 2004 in "The Deviants," Reid Waterer's independent comedy about a dating agency for sex deviants, and "Ghost Rock," Dustin Rikert's Western drama starring Gary Busey. She reunited with Lorenzo Lamas in her latest film, "Succubus: Hell Bent" (2007), a thriller by writer/director Kim Bass.
