 | Every time I put this DVD on I am reminded as to why Shania is the greatest female performer on the planet!
From start to finish, this is a high energy show that transitions perfectly between rocking/joyful/fun/inspiring songs to gorgeous, beautiful ballads. All of Shania's classic anthems and trademark songs are included.
Shania has a lovely, charasmatic singing voice and Godly stage presence, her band are awesome and never miss a beat and the overall production of this concert is excellent!
A fun 2 hours of great music and well worth the money! |

 | I have liked Shania Twain since her 2nd cd The Women In Me. When I bought this DVD thinking it was vidoes but when I opened it I read it was Live In Chicago. At first I was dissapointed because I wanted a video collection oops. I was gonna return it but said I'll keep it and watched it and it was a great DVD the best mistake I have ever bought and I have watched it to many times to admit. The performance was excellent mixing the old with the new. I think that show really brought out how very talented her band is they were awsome. Though its been 2 years I hope she plans a tour in 2005. A must have for the Shania Twain fan, I recommend it. |

 | This is a very good DVD concert, and I would recommend "Up" for Shania fans and collectors of music performance videos alike. Shania is beautiful, talented and personable, and has an amazingly tight and versatile stage band. She also interacts very well with her fans; there were a number of "audience participation" vignettes, including an adorable accompaniment by three young girls singing "I'm Gonna' Getcha." The rest of the on-stage audience participation was interesting the first time, but one might fast forward through the second time. Nevertheless, it was classic Shania making her fans part of the show.
The sound quality of this disc worked better for me in stereo than in 5.1. I'm not sure why (I'll check my settings), but the center channel in 5.1 projected a tiny bit too weekly so the vocals didn't punch through consistently like I would have expected. In CD stereo, everything was crystal clear, and given all the instrumentation of Shania's band, the balance was excellent.
In terms of video image, I'd rate this an A+, with vibrant colors and a sharp picture. I was mildly disappointed with the editing, which I found to be much too rapid throughout the entire performance: the same camera view rarely stayed on-screen for more than one measure, and I was wishing I had a little more time to dwell on some of the vantage points. [Also, note: there are no DVD extras]
All in all, this is a concert DVD that just about anyone can enjoy. |

 | Hi All,
I had the pleasure of seeing Shania's concert live in Chicago. Even though my family and I had seats pretty far back, her stage presence was phenominal! (the huge screens helped a lot too!) I'm buying this DVD to watch and remember the fantastic time we had watching one of the best female country music singers~ever!
A note about the music in the concert; she sang many of her songs from UP! and several of her past hits too. My 14 year old daughter was THRILLED when Shania sang several of her favorite songs, 'Rock this Country' and 'Honey I'm home'. I recommend this DVD for anyone who enjoys great country music and a fantastic concert. |
