According to Spencer

Born and raised in family working in the showbiz, Sean Flynn started working early in his life. He first appeared on a commercial that needed a kid to leap from a high rock into water and to appear in frame of the camera on the surface of the water.

Before turning 10, Sean was spotted as a guest in a December 1996 episode of FOX/Sci Fi Channel series "Sliders," as well as featured in the films "Simon Birch" (1998; starring Ian Michael Smith, Joseph Mazzello, Ashley Judd, Oliver Platt, and David Strathairn), a drama by Mark Steven Johnson inspired by John Irving's novel, and "The Grail" (1999), a short film by Joie Gharrity in which he co-starred with Tony Denman.

In 2001, Sean was cast in writer/director Drew Ann Rosenberg's drama/comedy movie "Alex in Wonder," with Angela Gots, Robert Hays, and Ellen Greene, and in Shane Edelman's romantic comedy film "According to Spencer," in which he portrayed the younger version of Jesse Bradford's title character.

He then appeared as a guest in a February 2002 episode of Fox animated sitcom "Family Guy" and supported Alicia Silverstone, Rachael Leigh Cook, Woody Harrelson, and John Cleese in Gavin Grazer's crime/comedy film "Scorched" (2003).

2005 proved to be Sean's breakthrough year when he snagged the role of Chase Matthews, the main guy character who has a "secret" crush on the title character, on Nickelodeon's Emmy Award-nominated live-action sitcom starring Britney Spears little sister Jamie Lynn Spears, "Zoey 101" (2005-2008). Alongside the show's cast members, Sean won Young Artist Award's Best Young Ensemble Performance in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama) twice in 2006 and 2007.
