British actress Roxanne McKee was launched to prominence in the mid 2000s thanks to her portrayal of Louise Summers in the well known soap opera “Hollyoaks,” for which she won the British Soap Sexiest Female Award in 2007 and 2008. McKee departed “Hollyoaks” in December 2008. During 2011 -2012, she played the recurring role of Doreah on the hit HBO series “Game of Thrones,” where she shared a Screen Actors Guild nomination for her performance.

Roxanne McKee was born on August 10, 1980, in London, England. She graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2003 with a BA degree in Social Policy & Political Studies.

Roxanne McKee first came to the attention of public after she won “Hollyoaks”on the Pull, a Channel 4 initiative to find new talent for the British soap “Hollyoaks.” Following this, she was cast as Louise Summers on “Hollyoaks.” McKee played the role from 2005 until her exit in December 2008. She won the British Soap Awards for Sexiest Female in 2007 and 2008. The actress reprised her role of Louise Summers on the spin off series “Hollyoaks: No Going Back” (2005).  

In 2008, McKee appeared in the music video of “She's Like a Star” by  Taio Cruz. In July 2009, she became the face of Clothes Show Live. She then appeared in two episodes of BBC Two's “The Persuasionists” (2010) and in an episode of “EastEnders: E20” (2010), where she portrayed a bisexual character named Pippa. She portrayed Lou Foster in the modern lesbian drama “Lip Service” (BBC Three, 2010) and had a supporting role as Nicky in the British thriller movie “The Expelled” (originally “F”; 2010), which was directed and written by Johannes Roberts and starring David Schofield, Eliza Bennett and Ruth Gemmell.    

McKee's another big break arrived when she landed the recurring role of Doreah on the popular HBO fantasy/drama series “Game of Thrones” during its first two seasons 2011-2012. The role brought her a Screen Actors Guild nomination in 2012 in the category of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.          

In 2012, McKee starred as Lita in the horror film “Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines,” the fifth installment in the “Wrong Turn” film series, which was helmed and written by Declan O'Brien. The film was released on DVD and Blu-ray on October 23, 2012. The same year, she made a guest appearance as Briony Keagan in an episode of “Inspector Lewis” called “Generation of Vipers.”

In 2013, McKee co-starred opposite Danny Dyer, Vincent Regan and Bruce Payne in “Vendetta,” an action film written and directed by Stephen Reynolds.  

Recently, in 2014, McKee played the role of Queen Alcmene on “The Legend of Hercules,” starring Kellan Lutz as Hercules/Alcides. Directed by Renny Harlin and co-written by Harlin with Daniel Giat, Giulio Steve, and Sean Hood, the action/fantasy flick was widely panned by critics. She next starred with Michelle Fairley and Danny Webb on the action/adventure movie “Ironclad: Battle for Blood,” which was released in the UK on March 14, 2014.

McKee will play the role of Claire Rysen in the upcoming drama series “Dominion,” which is scheduled to premiere on Syfy on June 19, 2014. she also will star opposite Craig Roberts and Jason Flemyng on the TV film “Alt” (2014).
