Rosanna comes from one of Hollywood’s most notorious families, and helped to create the reputation. During the 1980s, Arquette spent her time fulfilling the role of Hollywood wild child. But with age has come a greater maturity, and while she remains tempestuous, she has learned how to harness her wild energy.
Rosanna was born in New York City on August 10th, 1959, and grew up surrounded by the arts. Acting was in her blood, coming down her father’s line. All of her siblings have at least dabbled in the profession, and Rosanna, Patricia and David have all found a good deal of success. The family moved to Los Angeles when the kids were all still young so that their dad could pursue his acting career and so they grew up around Hollywood. It was no real surprise that eventually they would all take a shot at stardom.
Rosanna has kept a pretty low profile her whole career, but did achieve notoriety in the 1980s, after several challenging and thought-provoking roles in films like Silverado and After Hours. She also earned critical praise for her performance in the television movie, The Executioner’s Song.
Arquette has worked steadily her whole career, always drifting around the outskirts of mainstream Hollywood. She tends to favor edgy and quirky material and excels at playing emotionally flawed and ragged characters.
