SummaryGhost Ship

I love this movie! It is pretty freaky and a good thriller. This movie is so good and I really love it. What I really love about this movie is the little girl. She is not scary but I still love her. Her name is Katie and I can't stop looking at her! Because that's why I love this movie is Katie.

I love this movie. It makes a good thriller.

SummaryA Riff On THe Haunted House Concept!!!
Content
In this movie we see a motley bunch of ship salvagers led by Gabriel Byrne who has a drinking problem but is now on the wagon. Then his crew discover an abandoned old ship with lures them with the promise of untold riches. However the ship has a few secrets of it's own. The big problem with this movie is that none of the characters are particularly likeable so you don't care about their fate.As Stephen King points out in his excellent book "Danse Macabre" CHARACTERIZATION is all important in a horror movie or book if it is to make you feel emotionally involved in the story.I give this movie 5 stars because it does have some good special effects.

SummaryDiffernt But Good
Content
This is a very strange different movie but it is very good and the ending is my favorite ending to a movie ever, it leaves an opening for a sequel but it probably won't happen. I Highly recommend it.

SummaryThere's a reason it's selling for only $2.00....

While I appreciate Terry Castle, daughter of the great William Castle, with a new company called 'Dark Castle' trying to revive the quickie low budget horror genre that the 50's did so well, they're missing the mark by a longshot. The cover of this flick looked scary enough but it never went beyond that.

My biggest disappointment was the script, the amatuer acting and the fact that at the entire film was too well lit for any effective scares. It was funny to hear the cast and crew say in the documentary that there are many dark room scenes?!?! They all should really get together with notepads and watch some classic scary movies to see how it's done. Someone on the cast also said this is a new story that has never been seen on the screen before. Maybe someone forgot to tell him about a 1953 film titled 'Ghost Ship' with a similar script. I think all of these Dark Castle productions are remakes so far, and none very good. (13 Ghosts, House on Haunted Hill, House of Wax)

For real and effective low budget scares, spend your time and money exploring the old classics like Last Man on Earth, The Haunting, House on Haunted Hill or Roger Cormans Poe films...
