Robin Meade is American journalist and television talk show host. She is best known as the lead anchor for HNL's morning television news program “Morning Express with Robin Meade” (2005-present). Meade is also an accomplished singer.

Meade resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, Tim Yeager, their cat and two dogs.


Childhood and Family:

Robin Michelle Meade was born on April 21, 1969, in New London, Ohio. She graduated from  New London High School. She attended Ashland University and  Malone University, where she took radio/television production,  programming and performance major with a minor in  political science. In 1991, she graduated with a major in programming and performance.  

On November 6, 1993, Robin married Tim Yeager. She has a dog named Rocco, which audiences named based on her show's title at the time, “Morning Express with Robin Meade” (2005).

Brand New Day


After college, Robin Meade scored a success on the beauty pageant by winning the title of Miss Ohio 1992. She went on to participate in the Miss America pageant, where she was a top ten finalist. Meade kicked off her broadcasting career in Mansfield, Ohio as a reporter at WMFD-TV. She went on to become an anchor and reporter at WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio, and at WJW-TV in Cleveland. She then worked as the morning news anchor of WSVN-TV's “Today in Florida” in Miami Florida. There she also served as the station's noon anchor and health reporter.     

Next up for Meade, she joined NBC Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV in which she began as an anchor in the morning newscasts and then served as co-anchor in the weekend newscasts. She also served as a general assignment correspondent for the station. During her stint with the NBC affiliate, she reported the 1996 Olympics, which included special covering on the Centennial Olympic Park bombing.    

Since 2001, Meade has worked with HLN (then known as “CNN Headline News”). She has anchored the network's coverage of Operation Enduring Freedom and  that from Operation Iraqi Freedom in spring of 2003.

In 2009, Meade began her work as a host on HNL's “Morning Express with Robin Meade” on  weekday mornings, along with Ryan Smith, Bob Van Dillen, Jennifer Westhoven and Carlos Diaz.

In September of that year, Meade launched her book, “Morning Sunshine: How to Radiate Confidence and Feel It, Too.” It reached No. 12 on the “Advice, How-To, and Miscellaneous” section of the New York Times Best Seller list on the first week of its release.

On June 21, 2011, Meade released a country music album, “Brand New Day” under Warner Group Music label. It reached No. 58 on the US Country Albums chart and No. 24 on the US Heat chart. A single titled “Dirty Laundry” was released to country radio in that same year. Meade also once performed the song “Alexander's Ragtime Band” for President George Bush at a campaign rally and  sang the “Star Spangled Banner” as part  the NASCAR Sprint Cup pre-race activities for both the 2012 Coke Zero 400 and the 2013 Coca-Cola 600.
