Nothing. |

 | This movie is unworthy of the Caddyshack name. Jackie Mason does a great job at portraying himself, which is a bad thing.
The younger people in the movie are nowhere near as interesting characters as in the first movie. Jonathan Silverman, Brian McNamara, and the rest of the "kids" in this movie exhibit poor acting.
Characters aren't well-defined and simply aren't funny. The carnival atmosphere went way over the top.
Buy the first one and avoid this one. |

 | I don't want to sound too mean here, but I've got a feeling that Rodney Dangerfield died happily knowing that he wasn't a part of this movie.
I mean, why did they even bother calling it Caddyshack 2? It has virtually nothing to do with the first movie. It doesn't even take place at the same club. Sure, Chevy Chase's character returns for a very brief scene, but that's about the only thing that links Caddyshack 2 to the original Caddyshack.
Maybe I love the first movie so much that it would have been impossible for me to love this one. Nah, on second thought, that's not true at all. This here movie could have been a LOT better than it was.
If they had called this something other than Caddyshack 2, it may have been bearable to watch. It has a couple of okay moments in it. Still, it was called Caddyshack 2 just to cash in on the success of the original movie. I can't blame the movie company for wanting to make more big bucks, but they should have invested some more bucks in a better script - one that at least tried to follow in the footsteps of the original movie.
As it was, Caddyshack 2 may have had a couple of okay moments in it, but it never should have been called Caddyshack 2. That was disrespectful to the original film (which is a true comedy classic)and to the fans of the original.

 | The first Caddyshack was a poor film. Caddyshack II is much a poorer film. Not once during this film did I laugh. Oh well....just once. I laughed during the Peter Blunt System. That was funny. Uh....there isn't anything else good to mention. Good news, there are bad things to comment on. Lamebrained story. Blockheaded characters with the exception of Ty Webb played by Chevy Chase. It's hard to say bad things about Chevy Chase. Jackie Mason looks like a Rodney Dangerfield wanna-be and badly embarrassing at it. How did that golf ball ever made those pretty circles before getting in the hole? Magnetism? Finally, the most and the only annoying part of the film is the furball creature. I honestly don't know what species is that. Why is it ever included in the film? To slow pace the film in a torturous manner? At what points in this film were the jokes supposed to be jokes? Did anyone in the film laugh? I doubt Ty Webb did. |

 | It's quite possible that not reprising his role as Al Czervik was the most intelligent decision Rodney Dangerfield ever made (aside from marrying a hot chick 40 years his junior). This movie is to "funny" what hammered rhino-dung is to haute cuisine. I'm certain that, when actors, directors, and golfers go to hell, they are condemned to an eternity of watching Caddyshack 2 (while being fed hammered rhino-dung). |
