| The Beach Girls may be the worst skinflick I've ever seen. It borders on a PG-13 rating. The girls are clothed for about 90% of the time. The few times they do show skin it's either by quick flashes or from a far distance. First I must mention that the movie isn't an hour and a half as listed, it's about 45 minutes long, and for 10 of those minutes there's a ridiculous chase seen between a stereotypical mexican man and a stereotypical asian guy, ending in a mud fight between the two. There's really no reasoning to the chase scene, except as a time filler, or a weak attempt at humor. Regardless, I want those 10 minutes of my life back. If they really wanted just filler footage, they could have cut to some footage of girls sunbathing topless or something, anything, showing girls naked. This is not a movie for someone who wants to see naked girls prance around. There is a couple of prancing ladies, but their either fully clothed or the camera zooms in for a head shot. It's a shame too, cause this movie has quite a few hot girls. The main girl doesn't show here boobs till the very end, and even then it's for a quick glance. The movie is supplemented by a side story of a navy captain, with homoerotic tendencies, trying to catch a drug smuggler. The jokes are cheap but funny at times. Instead of focusing on filling the movie with shots of naked girls, the filmakers tried to develop the boring storyline. I don't think anyone watches these movies for their storyline, and it pains me to see that the film's creators didn't realize that. This movie is like a poor man's Country Cuzzins. If you really wanna see quality softcore skinflicks, where skin is centerstage, then take a look at anything from Something Wierd Video. If you don't like nudity and are looking for something mildly funny to pass the time or for a birthday present for a pre-teen boy, than this movie is for you. I haven't watched the Pom Pom girls yet, hopefully it isn't as bad as the Beach Girls. Bottom line - looking for nudie movie?...look somewhere else. |

| If you collect jiggling ... movies from the seventies and early eighties like me, The Beach Girls definitely needs to be in your collection. This movie harkens back to a more innocent time when all you needed was a rich uncle's beach house, a few college age bimbos, and eight garbage bags of weed washed up on shore to have a rockin' good time. Where this movie really delivers is in the area of jiggling naked .... I don't think the movie goes more than five minutes without delivering real, non-surgically altered mammaries. The Pom Pom girls is pretty forgettable, except for seeing Robert Carradine in an early role. |
