SummaryI Got a Horse Right Here...
Content
"Sometimes you can be walking around lucky and not even know it." Watch this film and today will be YOUR lucky day. The story and the lovable losers that populate it will steal your heart and put a smile on your face. Richard Dreyfus has the kind of a day we all dream of, even turning to the camera at one point and asking us, "Am I having a good day, or what?" You'll find yourself re-watching this winner whenever you're feeling a little down.

SummaryRichard Dreyfuss at his best!
Content
This is the best movie Richard Dreyfuss ever made. I loved every minute of it. All the characters are intering & well cast. And
what a bunch of characters they are but no one outshines Richard! The most fun you will ever have at the track. This is just a wonderful, upbeat, feel good movie. I have watched it many times.

SummaryWhat a ride!
Content
I can not stand horse racing and do not gamble but this is a delightful movie. Richard Dreyfuss is superb as a perpetual gambling loser who gets a winning streak. A very funny movie with good performances from everyone. This is one of those small gems that pop up every now and then. You get the feeling that everyone connected with the movie loved it and put everything into it. If you enjoy comedey or appreciate Dreyfuss you will love this movie.

SummaryGod likes me, he really really likes me!!!
Content
This is my Happy Movie. When the week has really gotten to me, and I'm ready to run screaming into traffic, I watch this movie and laugh my butt off.
The story is about a down and out gambler whose marriage is on the rocks. He gets a hot tip on a horse, and goes to the track for one last bet. What follows is an improbable series of lucky events that restore his faith in man, his love of life, and his relationship with his wife.
The cast is mainly character actors, that you immediately recognize, but can't name. His asides to us in the audience, include us in on his winning streak.
Is this movie for you? The punch lines are obvious, the ending is predictable, and the story is shallow. However; I can't explain exactly why, but at the end of this movie I can't help feeling like tomorrow will be a better day. If you liked "what about Marry and "Van Wilder", then you may want to pass this movie by. If you liked "Joe Versus the Volcano" or "One Fine Day" then you MAY like this movie. I highly recommend this movie, but warn you that it has limited appeal.

SummaryDreyfus at his best
Content
One of the funniest movies I have ever seen. I have been at many tracks and I have seen people that match all of the characters. The mutual teller is the best. How his disdain for Dreyfus turns to hero worship in a few races is great. Ms. Tilley is at her sexiest. There really are women like her who frequent the track. This is a movie for anyone who gambles.
