SummaryAgain? WHY?! Does Some Studio Exec's Kid Need Braces, Or Something?
Content
**5 stars for the movie, 0 stars for a studio money-making ploy.

Other people have said the same thing. "JAWS" is a fantastic classic, the ultimate man vs. nature flick, a terror masterpiece, etc. No question there. But there if you already own this film on DVD, you have the 'special edition' as it is and you can leave this one be. Some reviews have put forth the idea that it's totally fine to keep buying a new version of the same movie every couple o' years, and that's great, it's their opinion, etc. But if we, as film-goers, keep shellin' out bucks for the same movies over and over, Hollywood will get even lazier and just keep on churnin' out the same crap over and over again. Why not, when all they have to do for income is keep re-selling the same hundred or so films repeatedly, and just print out a new booklet or DVD cover, and maybe throw in an extra interview with the film's gaffer or transportation captain? Besides, "JAWS" already included a "Making of..." doc, feature-length no less, on the previous disc - how many "Making Of..." tidbits do you NEED for one movie? I say, make the studios WORK for the money we hand over to 'em so willingly.

So, to recap...

**5 stars for the movie, 0 stars for a studio money-making ploy.

SummarySpecial Edition IS Special!!
Content
Having read many of the reviews of the 30th Anniversary Edition of JAWS, I can't help but wonder what many of the reviewers are thinking. First, this newest edition has more than just a couple of features not found on the 25th Anniversary Edition. The original sound mix is worth buying it! 5.1 Surround Sound isn't always the best way to watch a movie, especially one that wasn't recorded in that format to begin with!

Second, is somebody holding a gun to these reviewer's heads to make them buy this edition?? If you are that miffed about the newest edition, then DON'T buy it! As far as spending the money, I don't think it's such a bad investment to pay 14.00 (Walmart's price) every five years for a classic movie, even if it only has a few new additions to it. I thought the booklet that was included was very "special" and worth the price alone.

So...if you are having a heartattack over the 30th Anniversary Edition, just keep on walking when you see it on the store shelves. Universal won't miss your money.

p.s. How great will the JAWS Unleashed videogame be??!!! There hasn't been a Jaws videogame in more than 15 years, so all you "cost conscious" people can relax and enjoy what's to come on your PS2/Xbox on October 25, 2005!!!! :-)

CHOMP!!!!

SummaryNice Edition... But missing some things?
Content
I was going to rent this movie before I bought it, but I wanted to just by it while I had the chance, and why throw away money on renting it?
But there was some things from the 25th Ann. DVD that was missing on this edition, i.e. a trivia game, and some facts about sharks. But I was wondering... Why put this all on two discs while the first edition had even more extras packed on to one disc? Are the creators trying to sell us out?
Well, anyways, the movie was good, but Wal-Mart only had the Full Frame edition, so I missed some shots from the movie, but good entertainment overall.

SummaryAnniversary Edition
Content
This is a bargain! For me, the best thriller ever made (I'm 93 and have seen ????.) And with "The Making of" you see the physical problems and hear the comments of the superb cast. Buy it!
