 | This is by far one of the best comedies you could ever ask for. I have loved this movie for years and am psyched to have gotten a message from Amazon that it is now finally coming out on DVD. There are plenty of reviews detailing the plot and such, so you can check them out. I am taking the time to write my first ever review of any product to let the world know how great this movie truly is.
The story is just classic and perfectly written. Bill Murray has made dozens of outstanding movies, but this one is without question his best. Sad that many have never even heard of it. If you have the spare change to buy Quick Change, do it. The scene in the convenient store when Murray is trying to get that desperately needed "quick change" is worth the price of admission alone. The look on his face revealing how much he just wants to ring the neck of the lady in front of him illustrates how brilliant the acting and directing is in this movie. I can't say enough and now I will have it on DVD. Enjoy. |

 | Quite possibly the most underrated movie Bill Murray ever did. The writing is first rate and the performances are classic. Those who appreciate a good comedy will find this film irresistable. |

 | This is a great little comedy with a great cast. Murray's performance is fantastic. Geena Davis Randy Quaid and the late great Jason Robards are all wonderful in their roles. Tony Shalhoub (Monk) is also great in his limited role as an immigrant cab driver.
Bill Murray once mentioned that it was one of his favorite films and I agree. Someone needs to get on the ball and give this film the primo DVD treatment that it deserves. |

 | An overlooked, and most likely long-ago forgotten film, Quick Change is a humorous bank robber comedy which more than adequately fills one's need for a great night of entertainment. Featuring a clever plotline (which surprisingly didn't spawn a series of bone-headed copycat crimes!), the movie employs the humorous antics of Bill Murray, Geena Davis, and Randy Quaid. With little to offer in the way of 'memorable' by cinematic standards (aside from the clever plot device), Quick Change is nevertheless a decidedly funny comedy unrelenting in its humor. If you've never heard of it, then it's definitely worth taking the time to check out...
When Grimm (Bill Murray) and his girlfriend Phyllis Potter (Geena Davis) decide to execute a daring mid-day bank robbery with their friend Loomis (Randy Quaid), the idea of getting away with the crime seems ludicrous to even the most casual of viewers. But in the end, it's the police department that comes off looking foolish.
Dressed like a clown, Grimm enters a local New York bank branch just before its afternoon closing. Barricading the doors and other entryways, he rounds up all the customers and employees, locking them inside the bank vault. With the New York City police department surrounding the building, a line of communication is set up by the police to negotiate the release of hostages with Grimm. With hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash now in his possession, Grimm and his partners (who have managed to secretly infiltrate the bank themselves and aid in the robbery) must find a way to escape from the bank and elude the massive manpower waiting outside.
But the three criminals have the perfect escape plan already in place. What they didn't plan for was facing the trials and travails of escaping New York City itself. Having pulled off the perfect crime and the perfect escape, they have hours of advance time to simply get on an airplane and flee the country. But the latter plan isn't so simple, and the three fugitives must race against a series of setbacks and pitfalls to avoid being caught by the police. Will they escape with all the cash? Will Grimm and Phyllis live happily ever after?
One of Bill Murray's least-appreciated films, Quick Change is 90 minutes of pure fun. The film also solidifies Randy Quaid's role as one of the top supporting actors in Hollywood. With a plot that will keep your imagination rolling (perhaps you'll even consider a better way to rob a bank) and some great comic scenes and one-liners, this movie is a blast. By no means is Quick Change one of the greatest films of all time, but it is a memorable and fun one. And for that reason, Quick Change is a definite must-see film...
