Rachel Specter is an American actress and writer who is best known as the model for RGX body spray commercials. Her film credits include “Prom Night” (2008), “The House Bunny” (2008), “Alone in the Dark II” (2009), “Deep in the Valley (2009)” and “Just Go with It” (2011).         

Specter is married to comedian Dan Levy and has one son named Abe (born 2013).

Rachel Specter was born Rachel Sarah Specter on April 9, 1980, in Tampa, Florida. She is the daughter of Steven C. Specter, who is the associate dean for student affairs at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, and Randie, who teaches at a Hillel Jewish day school. She was accepted into the University of Florida on a full academic scholarship and graduated with honors.

On July 4, 2010, Rachel married comedian Dan Levy. She gave birth to a son, Abe, in May 2013.

Career:

Rachel Specter has appeared in many commercials including for RGX, Jack Links' “Messin' with Sasquatch” and Sunsilk Color Showdown. She made her television acting debut in the soap opera “Days of Our Lives” in 2003. She went on to guest star in “Entourage” (2004), “Crossing Jordan” (2005), “Gilmore Girls” (2005), “What I Like About You” (2005), “One on One” (2005), “How I Met Your Mother” (2006), “Exes & Ohs” (2007), “The CollegeHumor Show” (2009) and “CSI: NY” (2009). She played Samantha on the web series “My Long Distance Relationship” (2008-2009).

Specter began appearing on the big screen in 2005 when she was featured as tour guide in “Edison,” a crime/drama starring Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey and Justin Timberlake and directed and written by David J. Burke. The same years, she also appeared in the direct to video “Today You Die,” in the TV film “Almost Funny” and in the drama film “Special Ed” (starring Greg Germann, D.W. Moffett and Bill Cobbs). Specter next appeared in “Lonely Hearts” (2006), “After Midnight: Life Behind Bars” (TV Movie, 2006), “White Air” (2007), “Cash Cow” (Short, 2007), “Not Another High School Show” (TV Movie, 2007), “My Sexiest Year” (2007) and “American Family” (TV Movie, 2007). She had a supporting role as Taylor on the slasher movie “Prom Night” (2008), portrayed Courtney in the romance/comedy film “The House of Bunny” (2008), which starred Anna Faris, appeared with Frankie Muniz, Michael Cera and Ashley Schneider in the comedy film “Extreme Movie” (2008) and starred as Natalie Dexter in the direct to video film “Alone in the Dark II “ (2008). Other films she has acted in include “Living with Abandon” (2008, TV), “Bald” (2008), “My Long Distance Relationship” (TV, 2009), “My One and Only” (2009), “Deep in the Valley” (2009), “Stasis” (Short, 2010), “BoyBand” (2010) and “Just Go with It” (2011).
