American actress Rachel Korine is perhaps best known for playing Cotty on the film “Spring Breakers” (2012), which was written and directed by her husband, Harmony Korine. Other films she has appeared in include “Mister Lonely” (2007), “Septien” (2011) and “Druid Peak” (2014).    


Childhood and Family:

Rachel Korine was born on April 4, 1986, in Nashville, Tennesee, as Rachel Simon. She married Harmony Korine in 2007. They have one daughter, Lefty Korine.

Mister Lonely


Rachel Korine made her screen debut in the comedy/drama film “Mister Lonely” (2007), which was directed by her husband, Harmony Korine. There she played the role of Little Red Riding Hood. She went on to appear with Raven Dunn and Zamvel Oyvetsky in the short film “The Dirty Ones” (2009), which was written and directed by Brent Stewart, and with  Kenneth Anger, Tadanobu Asano, Brian Butler, Helena Christensen and Chloë Sevigny in the fantasy film “42 One Dream Rush” (2009). She worked with her husband again in the experimental drama film “Trash Humpers” (2009).

Korine was cast as Savannah in the independent film “Septien,” directed by Michael Tully. It premiered  at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, and later screened in such festivals as BAFICI, International Film Festival Rotterdam, South by Southwest, Sarasota Film Festival, and Maryland Film Festival.  

In 2012, Korine portrayed Rach in the independent film “The Fourth Dimension” segment of “Lotus Community Workshop,” which was directed by husband Harmony. Val Kilmer also starred in the segment.

The same year, Korine starred opposite James Franco, Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez and Ashley Benso in the artistic neo-noir crime-drama film “Spring Breakers,” which was written and directed by Harmony. She earned an Alliance of Women Film Journalists nomination for Actress Most in Need of a New Agent for her work on the film, which she shared with  Gomez, Hudgens and Benson. “Spring Breakers” gained positive reviews from critics and grossed over $31 million worldwide against a budget of $5 million.

In 2014, Korine starred with Spencer Treat Clark and Andrew Wilson in the Marni Zelnick film “Druid Peak.” The film received mostly positive reviews from critics.

On the small screen, Korine played Junia on the television drama series “The Knick,” starring Clive Owen, André Holland and Jeremy Bobb.
