SummarySome comments on the DVD...
Content
First, in response to a previous review, there does not seem to be anything cut from the movie. It's 90 minutes long, and that agrees with how long it should be according to IMDB (Internet Movie DataBase). I don't recall any scenes that weren't on the DVD. On the other hand, I could have sworn that the line, "If you like it so much, why don't you MARRY it!" was from the movie, so either I missed it, or I'm guessing that I'm mistaken and that it's from _Pee Wee's Playhouse_ or elsewhere.

Secondly, as someone else noted, there are 4 "deleted" scenes included on the DVD that aren't mentioned in the description or on the box. However, they aren't very strong scenes, so it's easy to see why they were deleted.

All in all, it was the movie that I remembered and loved. As a 37-year-old, I appreciated more the absurdist art behind the film. My 4-year-old said that it was the best movie ever (though I skipped the part with Large Marge and two small bits of violence).

SummaryPee-Wee's Hilarious Adventure
Content
In 1985 Paul Reubens (a.k.a Pee-Wee Herman) released his first film under the stage name Pee-Wee Herman it was called "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure". Reubens co-wrote it with Phil Hartmen and Michael Varhol and was directed by Tim Burton. It was an instant hit and has in the 20 years since its release became a classic. I owned it only on video for quite sometime but no I own it on a shiny DVD! [...]
The DVD has finbe picture quality as well as a fine sound quality with great music Thank you, Danny Elfman! The DVD extras are also great espcially the commentary and music only track as well as the deleted scenes reels. As for the film itself it is great! Pee-Wee travels all over America to find his beloved spiffy red bike. He mets ecscaped convicts, ghost truck drivers a waitress, a jealus boy-friend, bikers and funniest of all a hobo can't stop singing... horribly! This film is terribly funny and wonderful movie all around! I also strongly reccomend Pee-Wee's Playhouse. 5 stars all the way! 2 thumbs up, way, way, way way up!!!!!!!!!

SummaryPee-wee's Big Adventure***** INSTANT CLASSIC
Content
This movie is pure genious. It the best Pee-wee movie you will probably see. Its about goofy Pee-wee Herman(Paul Reubens) , and his big adventure basically across the country looking for his beloved bike that he worships.Up, down, left , and right he looks for it everywhere , but in the end he eventually finds it in Hollywood being used in a movie and he gets it back.

-Be sure to watch his famous bar scene dancing to "tequilla"
