'Sleeping Beauty' or something in the classroom, and I was the Wicked
Witch. And I had a blast! I was just playing like I usually do.

Patricia Idlette is a television, film and stage actress. She is best
recognized for playing Kiffany on the Showtime television series
“Dead Like Me” (2003-2004). Her film credits include
“Scary Movie 3” (2003), “Ginger Snaps:
Unleashed” (2004) and “Chaos Theory” (2008). She has
also appeared in a number of TV films and guest starred in various TV
series, including “Battlestar Galactica,” “The L
World” and “Psych.”

Childhood and Family:
Patricia Idlette took theater and speech major at Florida State
University. She went on to study drama at the University of Michigan.
Battlestar Galactica
Career:
Patricia Idlette made her television acting debut in 1980 with a part
in an episode of “The Littlest Hobo.” Her first TV movie
role was Nurse Malcolm on “Shocktrauma” (1982), starring
Philip Akin, Linda Callow and Leslie Carlson. Two years later, she
added feature film to her credit with a supporting role as KC on
“Heavenly Bodies,” which was co-written and directed by
Lawrence Dane. The remaining of the decade saw her in episodes of
various TV shows, including “Comedy Factory,”
“Alfred Hitchcock Presents,” “Adderly,”
“Rin Tin Tin: K-9 Cop,” “The Twilight Zone” and
“Street Legal,” as well as in the miniseries
“Amerika” (1987), as Melanie Blackstone, and the made for
TV films “Reckless Disregard” (1985), “Hands of a
Stranger” (1987) and “Hostage” (1988). In 1989, she
had a bit part in the Howard Zieff directed comedy film “The
Dream Team.”
Except for her appearance in the 1992 film “Survivors,”
Idlette spent most of the 1990s working on the small screen. She
graced TV films like “Drop Dead Gorgeous” (1991),
“Last Wish” (1992), “Quiet Killer” (1992),
“Out of Darkness” (1994), “Children of the
Dark” (1994), “Breaking the Surface: The Greg Louganis
Story” (1997) and “Floating Away” (1998), while her
guest appearance credits include “Murder, She Wrote”
(1992), “NYPD Blue” (1993), “The Sentinel”
(1997) and “The X-Files” (1997). In 1998, she appeared on
stage in “Richard III” and “As You Like It” at
Bard on the Beach in Vancouver.
Entering the new millennium, Idlette could be seen making guest
appearances in such TV series as “The Outer Limits,”
“Freedom,” “Seven Days,” “John
Doe,” “Stephen King's Dead Zone” and
“Andromeda.” However, she did not gain significant notice
until she landed the role of Kiffany, a waitress, on the comedy/drama
series “Dead Like Me,” which ran on Showtime from June 27,
2003 to October 31, 2004. Around this period, Idlette also worked in TV
movies such as “Sole Survivor,” “Frankie &
Hazel,” “Holiday Heart,” “Class Warfare,”
“The Secret Life of Zoey,” “Meltdown,”
“The Goodbye Girl,” “Man in the Mirror: The Michael
Jackson Story” (played Katherine Jackson, the mother of Michael
Jackson) and “Deadly Visions.” On the big screen front, the
actress played the role of Mrs. Meeks in the popular parody film
“Scary Movie 3” (2003), directed by David Zucker, was
featured alongside Erika Christensen, Chris Evans, Bryan Greenberg,
Scarlett Johansson, Darius Miles and Leonardo Nam in the teen heist
film “The Perfect Score” (2004), directed by Brian Robbins,
and appeared as Dr. Brookner on the Canadian horror sequel
“Ginger Snaps: Unleashed” (2004), helmed by Brett
Sullivan.
From 2005 to 2006, Idlette played the recurring role of Sarah Porter in
the hit military science fiction series “Battlestar
Galactica” (Sci-Fi, 2004-2009), starring Edward James Olmos.
Additionally, she appeared in such films as “Bad Girls from
Valley High” (2005), “Amber Frey: Witness for the
Prosecution (2005, TV), “The Ron Clark Story” (2006, TV),
“A Little Thing Called Murder” (2006, TV), “She's the
Man” (2006) and “Past Tense” (2006, TV) as well as in
episodes of “Terminal City” (2005), “The L
Word” (2006) and “Psych” (2006).
In 2007, Idlette played U.S. Rep. Barbara Jordan (D-TX) in the Kristine
Thatcher play “Voice of Good Hope,” directed by the author
at BoarsHead Theater in Lansing, MI. The play ran from March 16
to April 8, 2007.
Idlette portrayed a nurse in “Chaos Theory,” a 2008
comedy/drama film starring Ryan Reynolds, Emily Mortimer and Stuart
Townsend. The film, directed by Marcos Siega, earned mostly negative
reviews from critics.
