Bombshell
Background:
"Making love in the morning got me through morning sickness. I found I could be
happy and throw up at the same time." Pamela Anderson
A sex symbol of the mid 90s, blonde-haired model and actress Pamela Anderson
gained her popularity as sexy lifeguard Casey Jean Parker (C.J Parker,
1992-1997) on the hit syndicated TV series Baywatch. Pamela's other small screen
work includes starring in the action series V.I.P (1998-2000) and lending her
voice in the animated series Stripperella (2003). As for the silver screen, she
was noticed acting in such movies as Barb Wire (1996) and Scary Movie 3 (2003).
Pamela's private life has frequently caught the public attention, most notably
for her stolen honeymoon videotape with then husband Tommy Lee, and her dramatic
relationship with rock star Kid Rock. She also shocked her fans when she
admitted she was infected by the Hepatitis C virus after sharing a tattoo needle
with Tommy Lee.
Sex icon Pamela stands at 5' 7" inches tall and has been 34A-21-32
(18-year-old-model), 36B-22-34 (Playmate in 1990), and 34C-24-34 (1997) and has
broken the record for posing on the cover of Playboy magazine (she posed 11
times). Besides her high profile relationship with Tommy Lee and Kid Rock,
Pamela was also linked with such names as pro surfer Kelly Slater, Poison's
vocalist Bret Michaels, Swedish model/actor Marcus Schenkenberg, photographer
Dan Ilicic, as well as actors David Charvet and Scott Baio.
"It's hard to date when you have children. It's hard because you can't bring
people home, necessarily, so you're kind of hopping around. I don't know, I feel
a little dirty!" Pamela Anderson
On more positive side, vegetarian Pamela is an avid activist of the animal
rights organization PETA. For her support to the movement, Pamela was awarded a
Linda McCartney Award for animal rights protectors in 1999. She also
participated in several children's religious activities throughout the world.
Centennial Baby
Childhood and Family:
In Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada, Pamela Denise Anderson was born on
Canada's one-hundredth anniversary, July 1, 1967, and was titled The Centennial
Baby. Her parents, Barry Anderson (furnace repairman) and Carol Anderson
(waitress), won cash prizes for Pamela's birth. Of Finnish descent, Pamela
followed her parents to the city of Vancouver and graduated from Highland
Secondary School in 1985.
"It's going to take a certain man for me to ever get involved with, because
he'll have to realize I don't have two children, I have three. Tommy is always
going to always be a part of my life."
On February 19, 1995 Pamela tied the knot with Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee
after knowing him for only 96 hours. A year later, the couple divorced on
November 19 (for physical abuse to Pamela), remarried on December 24, and
divorced again in February 1998. Tommy Lee and Pamela have two sons, Dylan
Jagger Lee (born on December 29, 1997) and Brandon Thomas Lee (born on June 5,
1996).
Branding a Business
Career:
"I don't really think about anything too much. I live in the present. I move on.
I don't think about what happened yesterday. If I think too much, it kind of
freaks me out." Pamela Anderson
Pamela Anderson worked as a fitness instructor until she was accidentally
spotted on the wide screen while watching a British Columbia Lions football
competition. Wearing a Labatt Beer's T-shirt, Pamela was hired to be the
spokesmodel for the company's advertisements. She followed it up with appearing
in Playboy. Soon Hollywood's door opened and Pamela appeared as a guest on the
shows Charles in Charge and Married... with Children in 1990.
Her initial breakout role was that of Lisa, the Tool Time girl on the popular
television series Home Improvement (1991-1993). While working on the series,
Pamela attracted the attention of the Baywatch's casting crew who were in search
of an Erika Eleniak substitute. From 1992 to 1997, Pamela portrayed the role of
sexy blonde lifeguard Casey Jean Parker (C.J Parker) on the international hit
syndicated series, a role that helped to catapult her name toward the world's
sexiest star title.
Pamela began her silver screen work with the unaccredited role of a cheerleader
in the low-budget The Taking of Beverly Hills (1991). She costarred in such
B-movies as Worth Keeter's Snapdragon (1993, playing Felicity), David A. Prior's
Raw Justice (1994, as Sarah), and Lyndon Chubbuck's Naked Souls (1995, as
Britt). Meanwhile, she kept acting on TV, playing Velda on the CBS'
mystery-comedy Come Die With Me: A Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer Mystery in 1994
(co-starring with Rob Estes).
In 1996 Pamela won her first starring role. She portrayed the title role of Barb
Wire in David Hogan's adaptation of Chris Warner's comic book Casablanca. Pamela
was noted for the tagline "Don't call me babe" in the action-drama film, which
ended both as a critical and commercial flop. However, the Baywatch star
continued to act in films, including starring as celebrity/bodyguard Vallery
Irons in the syndicated action series V.I.P (1998-2000), which she also helped
produce.
During 2003 Pamela worked in two films by providing her voice for the title
role, Stripperella, in the animated movie with the same name, and starring as
Becca in David Zucker's horror-comedy Scary Movie 3, sharing the screen with
Jenny McCarthy, Marny Eng, and Charlie Sheen.
After two years of hiatus, Pamela will soon team with Emmy winning actor
Christopher Lloyd on the Fox's series Stacked. Producer John Acunto commented,
"This is very exciting for us and we are happy to see Pamela getting her debut
on network television. We realize that this will create more exposure to Pamela.
The retail launch of the product could not have been timed any better. We are
discussing advertising opportunities with Fox for national and/or regional
placement of our commercial within the program."
Pamela has recently branched out her talent in writing. She launched her debut
book, Star, on August 3, 2004 and was reported preparing two novels, Above The
Waist and Below The Belt. Pamela, a sharp businesswoman, has released her own
clothing line, which includes jeans, T-shirts, sweaters, jewelry, lingerie and
fragrance.
"And I'm not an actress. I don't think I am an actress. I think I've created a
brand and a business.'' Pamela Anderson
