Former Baylor WBB star Brittney Griner suspended for portion of future USA Basketball camp Former Baylor women's basketball star and current Phoenix Mercury post Brittney Griner will be hit with a partial suspension at the next USA Basketball camp she attends following her involvement in a domestic violence case earlier this year, according to a release from the organization from today.

Griner will be suspended from 20 percent of the next USA Basketball Women's National Team camp she attends from the moment she arrives at camp.

"USA Basketball does not condone violence of any sorts," said USA Basketball CEO Jim Tooley in a statement disseminated to the media. "USA Basketball has conducted extensive interviews with everyone involved and because Brittney has continued to show remorse and has dealt with this issue head-on, USA Basketball believes that the discipline it is imposing on Brittney is appropriate and fair."

In April, Griner and then-fiancée Glory Johnson, a player for the Tulsa Shock, were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after an altercation at their mutual home in Arizona....
