Lorena Rojas Dead: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know Mexican actress and singer Lorena Rojas has lost her long battle with cancer at just 44.

The beloved Latin soap opera beauty had been courageously fighting the disease since 2008. She died at home in Miami, FL, surrounded by her family, her boyfriend and her closest friends, reported the Latin Times.

She will be best remembered by her millions of fans for her roles in international telenovelas like El Cuerpo del Deseo, Pecados Ajenos, Alcanzar Una Estrella and the recent series Demente Criminal.

She had been trying to get pregnant when she was first diagnosed with cancer, according to the Latin Post.

2. She Beat Breast And Bone Cancer Before The Disease Spread to Her Liver
Lorena recovered after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 and having a mastectomy but was only cancer free until 2012 when she discovered she had the disease in her bones.

She began having pains in her leg while working out at the gym but wrote it off until she couldn’t bear the agony any longer and found out the worst.

Her breast cancer had metastasized, and she told the Latin Times: “The cancer feeds on my hormones, so I’m still a person with a very strong and good hormonal cycle, because even though I was on medication for my hormonal cycle relax and no longer have activity, my body fought against it and the medicine did not help.”

Last November, she suffered yet another setback when she was told by doctors at a routine check-up that the tumors had spread to her liver. This time, sadly, there was to be no recovery....
