Golden Globes: Eddie Redmayne ''ecstatic'' after Best Actor gong and whirlwind wedding in 2015 For actor Eddie Redmayne, the last month has been A Brief History Of Time which he will never forget.

After marrying his wife in a quickie wedding, the British star then went on to have and to hold his first Golden Globe.

Ecstatic Eddie, who won Best Actor for his role as physicist mastermind Stephen Hawking, spoke for the first time about marrying Hannah Bagshawe.

Chatting at an awards bash in Beverly Hills on Sunday night, the 33-year-old said: Im so ecstatic right now. Ive had the best few months of my life.

"I got married. We were on holiday and I said to Hannah, Were getting married, like right now, come on.

So I booked the venue and that was it. It was quick.

Eddie went on to explain that he and publicist Hannah, also 33, were forced to cut short their honeymoon for the Golden Globes.

Clutching his gong, he said: We are still technically on our honeymoon winning this is the best end to it.

Eddie beat off fellow British actors Benedict Cumberbatch and David Oyelowo, both 38, to get the award for his performance in The Theory of Everything.

As he collected the gong from star Gwyneth Paltrow, Eddie admitted he had suffered panic attacks due to the pressure of playing such a coveted role.

Eddie, who went to Eton school with Prince Harry, was one of three Britons to scoop an award.
