Amanda Bynes Apologizes For Shocking Recording: 'I Am Doing My Best To Get Better' (Exclusive) Amanda Bynes is speaking out after audio recordings of the actress were posted online on Saturday, in which Amanda can be heard talking about wanting to "murder" her father.

The recordings, posted by TMZ, were reportedly made by Amanda's former roommate during a car ride.

And now, Amanda is speaking out exclusively to Access Hollywood, apologizing for the remarks heard on the recording and claiming she was betrayed by the person who made the recording.

"I'm sorry I trusted people who clearly were not my friends and capitalized on my illness. I am doing my best to get better. I am truly sorry for the statements I made. I am sorry for any pain I caused my family and others," Amanda said in a statement released to Access by her attorney, David Esquibias.

"I am thankful for everyone's patience and understanding. I never expected others to take advantage and profit from my condition. I'm disappointed with those who lulled me into a false sense of security only to find out they really are only interested in selling my privacy to the media," the statement concluded.

Amanda also posted a series of Tweets on Saturday night, claiming she was simply joking regarding the comments about wanting to "murder" her father....
