The Rover sees Pearce reunite with director David Michod, while he teams up with Robert Pattinson for the first time.

And Pearce admits that being in the that sort of environment really does help the performance.

Speaking to Flicks and Bits, the actor said: "It was great being out on location, and the heat obviously was a big part of what it was we were experiencing in the story anyway.

"So it was gruelling and it was hot, but it was mixed with those incredible locations we were in. So it was all a part of the experience we were in. Itís kind of amazing being out there....
