Reeve Carney's Spider-spider Man Costume To Be Added To The Smithsonian Institute The suit actor Reeve Carney wore as Spider-Man during his Broadway stint in the musical Turn Off The Dark is to be added to the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History in Washington D.C.

Carney spent nearly three years in the spandex outfit until he parted ways with the production last September (13), and now his iconic costume will live on in of America's foremost museums.

Late costume designer Eiko Ishioka came up with the outfit, which helped earn her a 2011 Tony Award nomination.

Producer Michael Cohl says, "The Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History is the premier archive of iconic American artefacts. We are honoured that they have decided to cement the production's place in the American popular culture canon. This also serves as a fitting tribute to our incredible costume designer Eiko Ishioka."...
