Whitney Cummings Tears Up Talking About Comedy World's Backlash When she launched two new comedies in the fall of 2011 -- "2 Broke Girls" and "Whitney," which she also starred in -- it looked like Whitney Cummings was going to be the next big thing.

Two years later, "Whitney" has been canceled and the comedian has lost the support of the people that once lauded her.

In an interview with Howard Stern (above), Cummings opened up about how abandoned she felt by her comedy family when the backlash started.

"This is embarrassing. I'm going to get emotional," Cummings began. "It was crazy because there was such a negative backlash to it that felt really personal. I think as someone who didn't really have a family unit growing up, comics were like my family. As soon as I got the show, I felt like everyone was against me."...
