Career:

When she was in junior high school, Molly Stanton became a member of the Brentwood Theater Company. At Brentwood, she wrote, directed and performed in a real story about nine high school boys on a camping trip and their lives after four of them were killed by a drunk driver. The play was a success and was taken by the troupe on a summer tour at Scotland's Edinburgh Theater Festival.

Stanton's big breakthrough arrived at age 19 when she landed the role of Charity Standish on the James E. Reilly created soap opera “Passions,” which premiered on NBC on July 5, 1999. Playing a young woman competing with her cousin for the affection of Miguel (played by Adrian Bellani), she was on the show from July 14, 1999, to July 22, 2004. She also played Zombie Charity from 2001-2002, a role that brought the actress a 2002 Daytime Emmy's Special Fan Award nomination for America's Favorite Villain.

In 2003, Stanton played Kayla in an episode of the short lived ABC police drama series “10-8: Officers on Duty” called “Mercy, Mercy Me.” She then portrayed Tiffany in the “CSI: Miami” episode “The Oath” (2004).

After leaving “Passions,” Stanton starred as the sexy Farrah Arnold on the situation comedy series “Twins,” which ran on The WB from September 16, 2005, to March 3, 2006. The show also starred Sara Gilbert as her nerdy twin sister and Melanie Griffith and Mark Linn-Baker as the girls' attractive mother and supportive father. In 2007, she appeared as the date of Michael Weaver in the episode “Julie and Eric's Baby” of the short lived ABC comedy show “Notes from the Underbelly.”

Stanton returned to series television as a regular in the Fox comedy series “Do Not Disturb,” where she played Nicole. Debuting on September 10, 2008, the show was canceled after three episodes. Her costars in the show included Jerry O'Connell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jolene Purdy, Niecy Nash and Dave Franco.

In 2009, Stanton made her feature film acting debut in “Miss March,” a comedy directed by and starring Trevor Moore and Zach Cregger. In the movie, she played Candace. “Miss March” was poorly received by critics.
