Around age 12, Miles Chandler began his professional acting career, playing the younger version of Balthazar Getty's character Taylor, in director Jay Alaimo's romantic crime/drama film "Slingshot" (2005), alongside David Arquette, Thora Birch, Julianna Margulies, and Joely Fisher.

That same year, he starred as the younger version of Ed Harris' unassuming restaurant manager character Miles Roby, on HBO critically acclaimed two-part mini-series "Empire Falls," which was based on the Pulitzer Prize winning novel of the same name written by Richard Russo. The Golden Globe and Emmy-winning miniseries also stars Hollywood A-listers Helen Hunt, Paul Newman, and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

In the following year, Chandler played Max, the son of Campbell Scott's character, on the short-lived ABC dramatic series "Six Degrees" (2006-2007), which also stars Jay Hernandez, Bridget Moynahan, Erika Christensen, and Hope Davis.
