SummaryA Good Romantic Comedy!
Content
I like romantic comedies so I watched One Fine Day which stars George Clooney and Michelle Phieffer and while I wouldn't say this was the best romantic comedy I have ever watched I did like it and I think the chemistry between George and Michelle was very good and George was very charming and handsome and I enjoyed watching this movie!

SummaryWhat a great movie!
Content
I discovered this movie on a Greyhound bus to go stay with my girlfriend out of town, which is 6 hours away (11 by bus). When you're stuck in a bus for 11 hours, anything to pass the time is great. Being a guy that has a soft spot for chick flicks, this movie really surprised me. It's not really all sappy or anything, it's just more taken from real life. There's no unrealistic dialogue. If you are the kind of person that enjoys realism in movies, then this is the movie for you. It has it all.

It has comedy, romance, adventure (kind of). This movie really kind of takes you on a roller coaster ride. The acting in it is brilliant. I give Michelle and George 5 stars for their acting. It helps that it's a great script too, though. The music is fitting to the story. I really like the point in the movie where they put in Van Morrison's Have I Told You Lately, it's so fitting.

To sum up the movie in as least amount of words as possible, I would say the movie is about how a day can seem hectic, full of problems, and just downright stressful. But at the end of the day, it can be looked upon as a great day. You can hate someone at the start of a day, and at the end, fall in love with them.

This movie will have a special meaning to me for a long time, because the day I saw it to me, was exactly like the movie. Stressful, tiring, and long, but in a nutshell it was...ONE FINE DAY!

SummaryOne Fine Day...One Forgettable Movie
Content
Decent film for romance buffs, ONE FINE DAY delivers on the leads of George Clooney and Michelle Pfeiffer (Batman and Catwoman?). Not much here except the character of Michelle Pfeiffer's son Sammy Parker (Alex D. Linz) seemed to be at the brunt of all the mishaps during the course of the film and to this reveiwer, ruined the whole film for me. If the creator's had toned down the kid's bratty behavior, it would have been a more enjoyable film experience.

SummaryBETTER THEN I REMEMBERED
Content
I remember watching this movie when it first came out on VHS and being a little disappointed with it. I was excited to find a film starring Clooney and Pfeiffer but was feeling a little let down when it was over. Having recently seen George in ER reruns, I saw this DVD on the shelf and decided to give it another shot. I'm sure glad that I did as I thoroughly enjoyed watching it today. This will make a great addition to my DVD collection as it will for yours. A nice, lighthearted romance movie that doesn't star either Hanks or Ryan. Who would have thought that could have happened?

SummaryOne Fine Day
Content
My husband and I both watched "One Fine Day" and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of acting and plot. This movie had more depth than most people probably notice. There was the superficial romance, and comedy. Then the underlying story of the career chase at the expense of family.
I wasn't sure just how it would be resolved and was happy to see that in the end family won out. This is a must see in this day and age when parents of both sexes tend to put everything else before their home commitments. The consequences of power grabs was shown in a very realistic way. I know. I've seen it close up with people I know and maybe this movie would be a good gift, subtle hint, to someone you know who could use a little push to make wiser decisions of their own. Who knows, it might just be the impetus needed to save a family from the problems that happen when career trumps home life.
One of the best movies that I've seen George Clooney in, next to Perfect Storm. He can actually act. Michelle Pfeiffer brought more talent to this film than I've usually seen from her also. The best plots seem to bring out the best in actors. What a great vehicle for actors, and the improvement of family life in this day and age. It deserved a PG rating and will be part of my home collection.
