Childhood and Family:

On November 24, 1975, Meredith Ann Patterson, nicknamed Merie, Mer, MP, or Mer Pat, was born in Concord, California. The youngest of four children to a mother who owns a daycare center and a father who works with computers, Meredith has one older brother, Robert, and two older sisters, Melaine and Michelle.

In 1993, she graduated from College Park High School in Pleasant Hill, California. Meredith, who has trained in dancing since age 2, singing at age 8, and acting professionally since the age of 13, left home at age 18 and headed to New York City to pursue her dream of being a Broadway star. She would later be accepted with a talent based scholarship to AMDA (The American Musical and Dramatic Academy) and awarded a scholarship at the prestigious STEPS Dance Studio on the Upper West Side.

On June 19, 2004, Meredith married actor Shonn Wiley (born on May 18, 1977), with whom she currently resides in New York City. She is a vegetarian and is friends with actress Tanya Memme (A&E's "Sell This House"). Meredith. Whose grandfather, uncle and cousin have fell ill from Huntington's disease, works with the Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA) to raise awareness and money for research for a cure.

Career:

Leaving home at age 18 and headed to New York City to fulfill her dreams of being a dancer on Broadway, Meredith Patterson, who has trained in dancing since age 2, singing at age 8, and acting professionally since the age of 13, made her Broadway debut in 2000 as a "Singing Apple" in Julie Taymor-directed play “The Green Bird.”

She followed it up with a musical debut in the original chorus of the Tony Award winning revival of Al Dubin, Harry Warren, Mark Bramble, and Michael Stewart's “42nd Street” (2001), in which she was the understudy for the role of Peggy Sawyer and took over the role after three months. She was later offered to star in a production of “42nd Street” in Moscow, Russia.

Patterson was nominated for a Barrymore Award at age 19, starred in 2 national tours at 20, and signed her first Equity production contract with Madison Square Garden's show “A Christmas Carol” with choreographer Susan Stroman at age 21. At 22, she starred as Young Phyliss in the critically acclaimed Papermill Playhouse production of Stephen Sondheim's “Follies” (Cast Album) with one of her musical movie idol's Ann Miller. She was the official spokesperson for the Bravo channel in 2002.

In 2003, Patterson was cast in the starring role of Miss Polly Browne in Julie Andrews' directorial debut, the musical “The Boy Friend,” at The Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor, New York. She then made her Los Angeles theater debut starring as Louise Maske in Steve Martin's adaptation of the play “The Underpants” at the Geffen Playhouse, for which she received more positive reviews. She also originated the role of Judy Haynes in the highly anticipated world premiere of Irving Berlin's “White Christmas.”

Afterwards, Patterson recorded her debut album, "MerieNYC," appeared in Star Wars Burger King commercial as a Hollogram (2005), and filmed ABC's “Boston Legal” as Missy Frank (2006-2008) opposite Tom Selleck. Meanwhile, Patterson, who won first place in a Marilyn Monroe look-a-like contest by performing "Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend" and was chosen to sing "Happy Birthday Birthday Mr. Cheez-It" in Times Square by the Nabisco Company as Marilyn for the 75 anniversary of that very popular cracker, starred as Marilyn Monroe in new musical “Lady On A Carousel” in May 2006, which is currently in development for Broadway. She also worked on the role of Kit Baker in Irving Berlin's “Face The Music” in February 2007 at Encore Series at City Center in New York City.

During this time, Patterson also appeared in films, in "Company Man" (2000), "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement" (2004), "Broken Flowers" (2005), and "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead" (2007). She has completed her upcoming film project, "My Father's Will," a drama written and directed by Fred Manocherian. Patterson also has her own production company, Merie Productions.
