Summaryworst mind trip ever.
Content
Don't bother with this movie. There is no movie (and I STILL resent being tricked in "identity" and that didn't suck!), except a few scenes of cute Wes Bently. Eliza is very forgettable in all her roles, so I should have known better, and if I could give this negative stars...
How do films this bad get made?

At first I was almost afraid to watch it after reading all the bad reviews, but truth be told, I liked it. True I have no clue who died and who lived, but I consider it a ver enjoyable movie.

SummarySoul Sodomizers
Content
I should've known from the $5 price tag that 'Soul Survivors' would suck when I bought it. But I saw that Eliza Dushku and Affleck's brother were in it, so I figured that it had to be at least somewhat interesting. I was wrong. Once again, I have been sodomized by low budget horror.

The film stars some no-name low-rent Naomi Watts-wanna-be who, depending on the lighting, can look either fairly attractive or like she has a touch of Down's Syndrome. Dushku turns in a very nice and slutty performance but she loses me when she makes out with some nasty hermaphrodite. Affleck's brother is a whiney little turd and the other dude is extremely irritating and has big eyebrows.

The script pretty much steals elements from other horrible movies: 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'(ugh), 'Scream'( double ugh). There's nothing really new or original here. And the acting, gore, or special effects aren't good enough to make you not care. The only disturbing scene in the film is the aforementioned hermaphrodite.

All in all, 'Soul Survivors' is a snoozer. Its fairly boring without much gore. Its just another teen horror flick starring bratty kids who deserve to die. But none of them get killed brutally enough to satisfy me. Skip it.

SummaryMelissa is great, forget the rest
Content
This movie is worth seeing due to the lead actress Melissa Sagemiller. The plot is very promising. Cassie(Melissa) and three of her friends are in a car crash early in the film. It appears Cassie's boyfriend died, while her other two friends survived. But as the movie goes on, you're not so sure. This movie had such potential, it could have been much better. But Melissa is in nearly every scene and has the talent and charisma to elevate the weaknesses in the script and directing. And she's gorgeous too. Four stars. Scratch one star for that brown haired girl. She is the movie's biggest liability. Atrocious acting, one note cliche character. She's just awful. Melissa deserved to star in a better flim.
