American actress Megalyn Echikunwoke is maybe best known for her regular roles in “CSI: Miami” (playing Dr. Tara Price, 2008-2009) and “The 4400” (playing Isabelle Tyler, 2006). She also appeared in many other TV series like “The Following” (2015), “Mind Games” (2014), “Made in Jersey” (2012),  ”90210” (2011-2012), “That '70s Show” (2004-2005), “Like Family” (2003-2004),  “24” (2001-2002) and “Spyder Games” (2001).

Echikunwoke's fans should not miss her performance in the A&E upcoming television series “Damien” (2016).  

Together with actors Justin Long, Olivia Wilde, and Kal Penn, Echikunwok campaigned for the Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama in 2007.
Echikunwoke enjoys to sing and is also very enthusiastic about pursuing a music career. She also loves traveling, surfing and dancing.

Megalyn Echikunwoke was born as Megalyn Ann Echikunwoke on May 28, 1983, in Spokane, Washington. Her father is Nigerian father and   her mother is American of German/Scots-Irish descent. Her last name is Nigerian and it means “leader of men.” She is the granddaughter of a Nigerian tribal leader of the Igbo, which makes her African royalty. She has a sister named Misty and a brother named Miki.

Megalyn Echikunwoke made her television acting debut in 1998 with a supporting role as Elizabeth in the science fiction film “Creature” and a guest spot in the series “The Steve Harvey Show.” In the following year, she appeared in her first feature film in the drama “Funny Valentines,” starring Alfre Woodard, Loretta Devine and CCH Pounder.

Echikunwoke had her first series regular role in the soap opera “Spyder Games,” which broadcast on MTV from June 18, 2001 to September 20, 2001. She played the recurring role of Nicole Palmer in “24” from 2001 to 2002. She also starred as Danika Ward  in “Like Family” (2003-2004) and recurred as Angie Barnett in the Fox sitcom “That '70s Show” (2004-2005). Meanwhile, she made a guest appearance in such TV shows as “Malibu, CA” (2000), “Boston Public” (2001), “Sheena” (2002), “What I Like About You” (2002), “ER” (2002), “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (2003) and “Veronica Mars” (2004) as well as appeared in the TV films “For the People” (2002), “B.S.” (2002) and “Hitched” (2005). She also had a role in the short film “Great Lengths” (2004).     

In 2006, Echikunwoke joined the cast of the science fiction series “The 4400” in the main role of the adult version of the mysterious Isabelle Tyler. Starring Joel Gretsch and Jacqueline McKenzie, the series ran on the USA Network from July 11, 2004 to September 16, 2007.  From 2008 to 2009, she played the role of Dr. Tara Price in the hit CBS crime procedural series “CSI: Miami.” Echikunwoke also appeared in such films as “Camjackers” (2006), “Fix” (2008), “Who Do You Love” (2008) and in episodes of the TV series like “Supernatural” (2006), “The Game” (2008) and TNT's “Raising the Bar” (2009).

From 2011 to 2012, Echikunwoke played Holly in ”90210,” and played the recurring role of April in “House of Lies” in 2012. She portrayed Rose in “Damsels in Distress,” a 2011 comedy film written and directed by Whit Stillman and starring Greta Gerwig, Adam Brody, and Analeigh Tipton. She starred with Janet Montgomery, Kristoffer Polaha and Kyle MacLachlan in the short lived CBS legal drama series “Made in Jersey” (2012). She was featured as pretty reporter in the box office hit film “ A Good Day to Die Hard” (2013), starring Bruce Willis.

In 2014, Echikunwoke starred as an actress named Megan Shane in the ABC comedy-drama series “Mind Games,” opposite Steve Zahn and Christian Slater, but the series only had a short life. The same year, she lent her voice for an “American Dad!” episode called “Introducing the Naughty Stewardesses,” appeared in the biographical movie “Electric Slide,”starring Isabel Lucas, Chloë Sevigny and Patricia Arquette, and starred in the horror film “Night Swim.”    

In 2015, Echikunwoke played the role of Penny in four episodes of the Fox drama series “The Following,” starring Kevin Bacon, during its third season.

Echikunwoke will provide the voice of Mari McCabe / Vixen in the upcoming animated web series “Vixen,” which is scheduled to debut in late 2015 on The CW's online streaming platform, CW Seed.    

The actress also is set to star as Simone Baptiste in the upcoming A&E drama series “Damien,” scheduled for 2016 release.
