American actress Marcy Rylan is popular among soap opera fans through
her roles as Lizzie Spaulding on “Guiding Light”
(2006-2009) and Abby Newman on “The Young and the Restless”
(2010-2012).
The blonde haired, blue eyed beauty enjoys dancing, Pilates, horseback
riding, hiking and yoga. She owns two tattoos, a star on
her foot and a heart on her wrist. She is an animal lover and wants to
have a llama someday. Rylan, who is interested in community service,
often volunteers with NY Cares and LA Works.
On a more personal front, Rylan is the mother of Jackson Robert (born
2009) and Levi Thomas (born 2011). The father of her children is her
fiancé Don Money.

Childhood and Family:
Marcy Rylan was born Marcy Faith Behrens in Providence, North Carolina,
on November 4, 1980. She graduated from Tyrone Area High School,
Tyrone, PA in 1999 and took a two year acting program at the William
Esper Studio. None of Marcy's friends or family members address her by
her first name, they all call her by her nickname, Emme. She legally
changed her first name to Emme in 2009.
Rylan has two children with her fiancé Don Money. She gave birth
to her first child, Jackson Robert, on October 21, 2009. Her second
child, Levi Thomas, was born on November 3, 2011.

Career:

Marcy Rylan, who dreamed of becoming a nun when she was a child, made
her television acting debut as Allie in an episode of Nickelodeon's
“Drake & Josh” called “We're Married”
(2005). Her big break soon arrived when she got the role of Lizzie
Spaulding on the CBS soap opera “Guiding Light.” She played
the role from February 7, 2006 to its final on September 18, 2009.
2006 also saw Rylan star as Bethany Hopkins in the small budget
independent film “Armageddon for Andy,” opposite Edward
Griffin and Kristen Caldwell, and score the role of Winnie Harper
in the direct to video cheerleading film “Bring It On: All or
Nothing,” directed by Steve Rush. Fellow “Guiding
Light” alumnus Hayden Panettiere, who previously played Lizzie
for four years, also starred in the latter movie as Britney Allen. She
appeared in episodes of “Entertainment Tonight” (2007) and
“The View” (2008).
After the cancellation of “Guiding Light,” Rylan joined the
cast of the CBS soap “The Young and the Restless” in the
role of Abby Newman, making her the third actress to play the role
after Darcy Rose Byrnes (2003–08) and Hayley Erin
(2008–10). Her first air date was May 18, 2010.
In 2011, Rylan co-starred with Jordon Hodges and Robert Miano in Kelly
O'Moren's thriller movie, “Impulse Black,” and with Jeff
Branson and Will Brunson in the short comedy “History,”
directed by Sean Afsahi. She also appeared as Rebecca in an episode of
the CBS sitcom “$#*! My Dad Says” named “Lock and
Load” (2011).
It was informed on September 13, 2012 that Rylan had been let go from
her role as Abby Newman on “Y&R.”
