“I waited tables at a bar for two days, and the manager was so mean. The best part is that when I quit, he told me that if I didn't have what it took to handle the job, I would never make it in the entertainment industry.” Marcy Rylan

Marcy Rylan, who dreamed of becoming a nun when she was a child, made her television acting debut as Allie in an episode of Nickelodeon's “Drake & Josh” called “We're Married” (2005). After the cancellation of “Guiding Light,” Rylan joined the cast of the CBS soap “The Young and the Restless” in the role of Abby Newman, making her the third actress to play the role after Darcy Rose Byrnes (2003–08) and Hayley Erin (2008–10). Her first air date was May 18, 2010.
