Lina Esco is an American model turned actress, producer and director. She first came to prominence for playing Katie Vega in the television series “Cane” (CBS, 2007). She has worked in several films, such as “London” (2005), “Kingshighway” (2010), “Where the Road Meets the Sun” (2011) and “LOL” (2012). She has also appeared in various commercial, music videos, magazines and publications. She was an extra for a series of “AXE” commercials one including with Nick Lachey for the “Clix” campaign in 2007.

Childhood and Family:

Lina Esco was born on May 14, 1985, in Miami, Florida. At age 14, she moved to France, where she pursued a modeling career. She then moved to London to work in theater and later to New York to pursue acting. Currently, she lives in Los Angeles, California.



Lina Esco made her feature acting debut alongside Jessica Biel, Jason Statham, Chris Evans and Isla Fisher in the independent film “London” (2005), which was produced by Hollywood Icon, Bonnie Timmermann and Paul Davis-Miller and was directed and written by Hunter Richards. There she played the character of Kelly. After moving to Hollywood, she landed her first television guest star role, as Angie Watson, in “CSI: New York” (2006).    

Esco got her first regular role in the CBS drama series “Cane,” where she played the role of Jimmy Smits' daughter, Katie Vega. The show aired on CBS from September 25 to December 18, 2007. In 2008, Esco was cast as Elisa in the webisodes “Heroes: Destiny.” She also appeared in the short film “The Evening Journey” (2008).

2009 saw the actress portray a lingerie model who has been fired for going public about her breast cancer surviving story in an episode of “Drop Dead Diva” called “Grayson's Anatomy.” The same year, she guest starred in an episode of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” called “Death and the Maiden.”  

In 2010, Esco co-starred with Clayne Crawford and Burt Young in the crime film “Kingshighway,” which was directed by Crawford, and was featured in the TV movie comedy “15 Minutes,” which won Independent Pilot Competition for Best Dramedy at the New York Television Festival. The same year, Esco made her producing with a PSA for the Academy Award winning documentary “The Cove Titled: My Friend is...” in order to bring awareness on the annual killing of dolphins in Taiji, Japan. She shared the production credit with Oscar winning producer Fisher Stevens and Chris Gartin.

In 2011, Esco appeared in the drama film “Low Fidelity” with Tom Bower, Lauren Byrnes and Charley Mae Caland, and played the role of Natasha in the Mun Chee Yong multiple award winning crime/drama film “Where the Road Meets the Sun,” which starred Eric Mabius, Will Yun Lee, Fernando Noriega. The same year, she appeared in Ketel One Ad Campaign: “Gentlemen, This is Vodka,” directed by Academy Award nominee, David O. Russell.        

Esco was cast as Miley Cyrus' best frined, Janice, on the coming of age comedy/drama film “LOL” (2012). Directed and co-written by Lisa Azuelos, the film grossed approximately $10 million worldwide against a budget of $11 million. The year also saw her star as Mia Hendricks, an MIT graduate and computer expert from South Boston, in Fox's new pilot “Exit Strategy,” opposite Ethan Hawke, Lily Rabe, Tom Sizemore.

In 2013, Esco will star with Casey LaBow, Zach Grenier, Monique Coleman in the comedy film “Girlrillaz.” In addition to acting, Esco also directed and produced the film.
