Lauren Leech was featured in the direct to video “Kermit's Swamp
Years” (2002), directed by David Gumpel. In 2003, the program won
the Genesis Award in the category of Television - Children's
Programming - Television Movie and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy
for Outstanding Children's Program.
Leech made her feature film debut in the crime/drama “Lonely
Hearts” (2006), which starred John Travolta, Salma Hayek and
Jared Leto. The film, written and directed by Todd Robinson, was
nominated for a Golden Seashell at the San Sebastián
International Film Festival.
In 2007, Leech gave a memorable turn as Katy on the teen comedy movie
“Sydney White,” based on the story of “Snow White and
the Seven Dwarfs.” It was directed by Joe Nussbaum and starred
Amanda Bynes, Sara Paxton, and Matt Long.
In 2008, Leech appeared with Sean Faris, Amber Heard, Cam Gigandet, and
Djimon Hounsou in “Never Back Down.” Tthe action film was
met with mostly negative reviews and grossed a total of over $41
million worldwide against a budget of $20 million.
Recently, in 2013, Leech has completed filming the leading role of
Melissa in the comedy film “PawnZ,” opposite Lido
Capogrosso and Gabriela Ortiz. She also served as an associate
producer.
