 | i remember watching this movie it quickly reminded me of boys n da hood but then as i watched da movie some more about it got deeper with da main story being da about a young man growning up n da middle class ghetto living with his wild father aka samuel l jackson and his mother at da beginning of da movie is strong and funny because da main character is caine is younger outside with some older guys drinking beer when caine first took a sip of da beer he automactily cursed and made all kinds of facial expression because da beer teased nasty that was da funny part of da movie and then his mom took him nside 4 bed but while he was n his room he heard his dad argue with some man while playing cards then when he walks out his room 2 c what da argument is about he cs his dad samuel l jackson shoot da man n da head and while caine is staring at da dead man his father keeps on callin his name becaus his father was under da influence of having a lot of drugs n his system then when caine gets older who i believe is now 18 years old and is now living with his grandmom and grandpa because tray's parents is n no condition 2 take proper care of him he gets shot and nearly loses his life but gets a second chance n life and meets a beautiful lady he likes a lot who is better known as jada pickett (when shewas younger before marrying will smith so that y she isn't jada smith yet)she is older than caine and has a son
of her own but she still likes him a lot and toward da end of da movie they make love with each other which gave me da impression that they were going 2 get married and live happily ever after with their son but nope caine got shot again at da end of da movie and it ended like that which makes u think whether he would get a third chance or just die and go 2 heaven also larenz tate a accomplish actor who plays "o-dog" craine's friend and is a trouble maker and doesn't care 4 no 1 except himself da famous scene i enjoy is when o-dog and crain get some beer a 40 and had a agrument with da chinese story owners because they rush caine and o-dog 4 taking 2 long n da story so when caine and o-dog exit out da door da chinese man who owns da store says i feel sorry 4 u mother and da famous part is when o-dog says what u say about my moma and da chinese man tries 2 reason wtih o-dog by saying he didn't say nothing but it was too late because caine wouldn't leave da store and shot da chinese man and took his wife 2 da back of da store and shot her too caine kept on trying tell o-dog lets go but he wouldn't listen until they heard da police came that's when o-dog finally listen then where until good parts of da movie when caine o-dog and some1 else got chase and bit by a group of dogs n da parking lot n a somewhat funny fashion because they was all screamin like girls when they were getting bitten by da dogs and like caine was outside a fastfood joint and told da man what he wanted 2 eat and had a gun 2 da man hear and when da man messed up his order caine went crazy on him and final part i enjoy watch was when a light colored man went 2 caine face (about unclear issue i 4 what it was about) and was talking a little trash but caine wasn't havin that was he punched da man n da face and kicked him n da face about 15 times and o-dog was encourage caine and after caine was stopped by his grandpa o-dog continued da assault on da injuried man n another funny moment this movie had everything u could want n it top notch acting from larenz tate jada pickett samuel l jackson every though he wasn't n da whole movie he had 2 pretend like he looked high even though he wasn't really high and last but not least tyrin turner who played caine n da movie
should have been n more movies him and larenz tate r underrated actors who deserve more movie roles 2 increase their acting status even though larenz tate have been n more movie roles he should still act n more movies |

| This movie is so realistic. Starts out when Caine and O-Dog was entering in a convent store O-Dog kept telling that woman who works in the store to stop looking at him cause he knows she and the man clerk thinks they are about to steel something. When they payed for what they got the asian man said "I feel sorry for you mother" O-Dog just lost it and shot the man until he was dead then he asked that asian woman to give him that tape that showed him shotting once he got it he shot the woman after that he figure what the hell he might as well steel money from the cash reguster. The acting was well done in this movie better then "Boys in the Hood". |

| If you watch this movie only two things can happen, either you get it!! or you don't!!! believe me some people just don't have a clue!!! to where this movie is carrying them, far less to know when they have reach there.
Yes it's violent and yes it can show a side to African American lifestyles that can be sometimes really negative,it's also deep real isssues facing real life people everyday, this movie was way ahead of it times, you can watch this in 2005 and still relate to the situation in the present day, " the more we change and rearrange everything remains the same" I personally think this movie is bold!!!it was really hard to accept, this movie is definitely worth a watch, you can either get the message and learn or you get it all wrong and burn!!!! your choice!!! it's impressionable so i think it's not really for kids, but for young people searching for an identity this may be something you can relate to,,, good luck!!!!! this is a definite must have in my collection laterzzz folks..... |

| Sorry peeps but I just never felt this "Hood" crap! M2S was just another in a long line of "Hood" movies with nothing but gratuitous violence and foul language and no message whatsoever! Yes we know growing up in the hood sucks! What else is new? How about a movie about someone overcoming the odds and living a good clean life in spite of the environment they grew up in? I guess that's not "real" or "black" enough, huh? A lot of people compare this film to "Boyz N The Hood" but it really does injustice to BNTH which was not only the first but actually had a message! What's the message in this one? I don't think it's coincidental that this came out at a time when gangsta rap really took off and many young black males, including college students, thought that being a gangsta and being down with the hood was cool but I never bought into that foolishness! Call me an anomaly or even a hater (A tired overrused expression if there ever was one) if you wish but this mess was far from being any kind of masterpiece! |

| a lot of people compare menace to society to boyz n the hood and rightfully so, but some miss one thing... menace is clearly what happens to many kids in the inner city who grow up with no guidance, no hope, and therefore like o-dog just don't give a...
now you might say that caine had a lot of guidance from his best friends father, ronnie, and his grandparents, but i think that being exposed to murder at a young age would disort anyones view on life.... |
